Detective McNulty
How good are these? These two places are really what separate Glastonbury from other festivals. Absolutely surreal, like movie sets. You can see the time, money and effort spent on these places and in all honesty, I would probably pay the entrace fee if these were the only things on offer at the festival. Any pictures will be warmly received.
Yokel Again
Amazing amazing amazing - i missed 08 (gutted) but these x3 areas (inc Arcadia) imrpoved the festival 100%. so so much better than Lost Vagueness, and for the 1st time since my 1st glasto (00) did i feel there was something truly chaotic and slightly anarchic on site to discover. I couldn't praise whoever does these areas highly enough.
LusciousLucy
They were a stellar leap this year. I now totally understand Bladerunner! (Something I have been utterly unable to do ever since I first ever saw it years and years ago!) Even tho Trash was pretty similar to last year it was deffo bigger and SL was just a head f**k! Did feel a bit contrived at times but once all the kids went to bed on Sunday night, SL took on a whole new level. BUT...the addition of these areas as THE place to party did make for some ridiculous crowding and you elt quite a voyeur at times when in the old days you discovered LV for yourself. Felt it was all a bit too pver produced but if you actually got talking to the performers, stall holders and staff they were wholly in the zone and that was just perfect cos that is what it is about. Hell...I bought a week long holiday to Never Never Land for the price of some magic beans at the STK travel agency!
