jazzyj
One of the things that never ceases to amaze me about the festival is the amazing number of venues. I thought I would have a go at working out how many venues we actually have to choose from... I've started with the ones I know of and can remember. I never manage to visit every area of the festival and am a little hazy about the locations of some! If you know of any I've missed out then post in the thread and I'll update this post. I'm thinking of a venue as anywhere that you can see a performance of some kind, including cafés and stalls which feature performers. Say what it was called, where it was and what sort of performances it had. Cheers! incident
I tried to do a count up before the festival (using the criteria of "fixed location and scheduled entertainment"), and came up with about 63 named venues. I'm convinced that the "real" number is significantly higher than that, but I also think it'll be damn near impossible to come up with a definitive list or figure because the definition of what makes a venue can get very messy in places. GlastoEarth would be your best starting point in compiling a list.

musky
There was the Dragstrip in Trash City as well, and the small area set up in Strummerville (does that even have a name???). There was also the tent in the market area to the west of the Pyramid and Other stages, though I can't remember the name of it now.
TheNewUnion
Tent could well be DirtyBootslondon? Watched the odd band there on the way past. One called Baddies sounded really good

G1T
There are backstage venues too, backstage theatre/cabaret had bands on most nights, and i found a venue caled the 'clapped out stage' in the avalon camping area by trash city one day as well, proper stage with its own bar and everything. Think backstage acoustic may have a stage too, likewise the park might, never bothered visiting either though. I doubt you'd ever be able to count them all though, and it changes every year. ukslim
Does anyone know of a stage called 'Strumble'? Emmy The Great said they were going to do a secret set there. Could she have meant the Bimble Inn?

sandyfeet
Nobody has yet mentioned the Small World Stage - just past the Tadpole Stage in the Green Futures Field - where I tended to end up most nights
