Band/Performance that summed up Glastonbury

Not particularly the best band I which was Neil Young, Kasabian, Blur and The Specials but for me it was carnival collective on the blazing saddles stage who summed up what glastonbury is all about, saw them last year and had to see them again, a mix of all cultures, ages and genders in both the band and the crowd have a massive dance in the sun!

Also Shlomo and the Vocal Orchestra were really good.

Madness, the crowd was full of people old and young having a good time to finely-crafted pop music in bad weather.

Stornoway on the Avalon Stage was a real highlight for me. Awesome band.

For me as a glasto newbie - Maximo Park playing Going Missing and Apply Some Pressure at the Queens Head on Thursday. Blazing sunshine, sweaty as fook in a packed hot tent, cider in hand with my mates. Welcome to Glastonbury lads!

I think Pete Doherty's set will live with me for a long time.

The sun was shining and the guy was absolutely immense. Totally tip top form, he might even have been sober...?

Very thrilled to see Pete looking and sounding great. It was so sad to see him mumbling through sets a few years ago in a Winehouse manner!

For me it was probably Hobo Jones and the Junkyard Dogs - one of those moments when you've never heard of them, not sure whether to bother hanging around to watch them, and then having the time of your life. That to me is a true festival moment.

The Specials - the only time our group all got together, crazy dancing/skanking, brilliant tunes with a social message, strangers joing our group, smoking, drinking and just loving it and each other. Perfect festival moment for me.
