Sipperana
Simply a thread to post what were your highlights of the festival - let's keep the positive vibe going.... Some of my favourite things were: - Babel's set being delayed because the bassist was in the khazi, and the dancing bananamen - the wonderful grinning face of Wino, Hobo Jones's washboard player - randomly catching the end of Broken Records' set in Dirty Boots - Glenn Tilbrook's six year old son on bongos - randomly bumping into two mates in the Park who I'd tried and failed to meet up with all weekend - seeing Broken Family Band twice in one day - random conversations, especially with Irish people who give you free CDs - going to Greenfields on the strength of a Billy Bragg rumour, and seeing an excellent ska band - getting a surprise birthday present from people I barely know - a wonderfully random and relaxed set from White Lies in the Guardian tent - playing cribbage by the cider bus while Tony Christie crooned in the background - eating virtually no meat for five days and barely noticing - Brothers Pear Cider, natch - Blur showing the Who how to round off a festival - just about everyone you meet being extremely friendly So many great bands and random moments it's hard to list them all really - I for one had my best Glasto yet. pineapple-tea
Felt like crying when Florence played Dog days are over. Awesome moment.
jazzycat
Everything was sweet! However, without a doubt my favorite moment, in hindsight, was when a young welsh woman ran up to me with a mini cat n' nine tails, which had leopard skin print on the handle. She was shouting: 'I need a whipper'... 'Will you please be my whipper!!!!!' I wish I could have seen my face, I nearly pissed myself with terror!! (To clarify, I did turn down the offer, Welsh bondage isn't really my brew)
