whatmidlifecrisis?
Whilst I detest right wing politics, exactly who has a right to attend Glastonbury? After all it is a piblic event. Lets stop the Right wing, and then move onto the "chavs", the teenagers, girls who straighten their hair, and finish with anyone that doesn't post on eFestivals. StevieF
And to tell you the truth I am shocked that these f**ktards weren't sorted out. Now, I have Skin friends who sit on the fence and say my "extreme" left views are just as bad as the extreme right, and well I can see where they're coming from in a way. However, if we just roll over and say these people have just as much right to be there as anyone else where do we draw the line? Do C18 have a right to be at Glasto? How about RVF? I urge anyone witnessing any BNP or far right activity anywhere, not just at Glasto, to act! This doesn't necessarily mean beat the crap out of them (although I would be very tempted!), just make others aware, make them aware that you think their views stink. You have the winning argument already, they really need to hear it again and again. Someone here suggested a peaceful protest to make them aware of the strength of opposition to there politics, an excellent idea. There are enough people at Glasto who are opposed to the far right that we could have really shown them! Please people, if you see scum like this next year, who are overtly spouting their vile poison, tell as many people as you can. Go to the Leftfield (yeah, yeah, I know) and gather a group. Do something!
eFestivals
I'll take some Western individualism over being born under the Ba'ath regime of course you would - you're top dog, the one that gets to do the killing of the likes of those that live under a Ba'athist regime. I of course don't mean that personally. What I mean is that our Western individualism is what allows people to starve so we can have that nice TV we want, etc, etc. And remember, such starvation is not caused by crop failures but by western economic imperialism (just as the arming of Saddam was). Such things have caused and continue to cause FAR more deaths than the likes of Hitler, Stalin, Mao, Pol Pot, Saddam and any other 'totalitarian' regime you fancy including have managed all together. The west is not in any position to take any moral high ground.
Mardy
Hmmmm, I'll give the BNP the 'right' to attend Glastonbury without confrontation, when they let anybody who isn't from their ethnic background have the 'right' to walk down the street without fear of harrassment, discrimination or attack. Until then, f**k them.

Alcatraz
Well said! Reading this has started to worry me about attending Glasto again next year, considering I am non-white. I seriously can't believe it.
Moonlight
C'mon man! The day you feel intimidated by them is the day that they've won. It was evidently only a small group of them, there's probably as much chance of Michael Jackson playing next year as you bumping into them

zion
We were camped right opposite them the other side of the track. (we had a red flag with a sheep on it and a just married white one underneath) It was quite daunting having to walk passed them every day, they were very loud, drunk and rude! Most nights they just shouted "C*NT" as loud as they could. It was the first time I camped at Pennards and I loved being near the park, think next year we'll go further down into though.
