There's already a thread somehwere, but i cant be assed to look.

Yh there's nightlife in the actuall Reading town, there is a silent disco too and plenty of stuff to do elsewhere. From my experiance you wont have to travel into town for fun, it'll be right within the campsite.

Travelling into town for anything other than cheap food, essential supplies or the toilet is a no-no.

Still, I'm sure someone reading this post will ignore that advice. It's not that they don't let festival goers into pubs and clubs, or even that they're not friendly, but if you stink, are pissed already and aren't really dressed for a night out, don't count on getting anywhere decent. Besides, there's better, less predictable and ironically cheaper fun to be had on site.

Theres a lot to said for getting smashed with a good group of mates in a field with lots of like minded people. Whatever the reputation is, the twats that attend Reading are in the minority, almost everyone you'l meet will be up for a laugh so the campsite has a good party atmosphere going on, lots to do there reallu

Actionaid tent - very close to the main arena. Djs till 3am on thurs - sunday night.

Free.

And good fun - Indie mainly but probably a bit of electro and dance thrown in.

I DJ'd there myself for a few years, going to miss it this year! :-(

I think the link to their website is www.actionaidspace.org

yea i went in there one night, prob the thursday seemed pretty decent

besides the actionaid tent, there's only the cinema/silent disco after the bands finish

i'll spend a bit of time at the actionaid tent and then the rest wandering around / back at the campsite! :D
