yeah i know this is a bit cheeky, but i've got 2 spare seated tickets for the NIN/Jane's Addiction gig next wednesday(15th july) if anyones interested as me and my mate have just got hold of Standing Tickets. I've just put them up on Ebay for less than their Face Value (Got them from SeeTickets for £37.50 each inc. the booking fees, so paid in total £75)....put them up for £59.99 'buy it now' for both of them if any of you are interested?

link doesnt work! B) Not a fan of O2 seating so going all the way to Ireland's Oxegen to see em.

One person's boring evening is another's awesome line-up <_<

PS why not put them on scarletmist.com. No fees and you can just put in the body of the ad that you are selling for less than face value (it's a website for selling tix at facevalue). Good luck.

Probably going to have to sell my ticket too, but because the only work I can find at the moment want to start my induction on the same day. Would normally never pass the oppotunity but so badly need the money for this summer, it really comes down to having a job or a Reading ticket...

Watching any of the following certainly would be far more boring than watching two of the greatest rock bands of the past 20 years:-

White Lies

Arctic Monkeys

KOL

Kaiser Chiefs

Courteeners

Enter Shikari

Maximo Park

The View

Airbourne Toxic Event

Friendly Fires

Glasvegas

Macabees

I would guess you will be watching most of these if not all, how many of the above will be around in 20 years time?

I will be watching some of those, I would rather watch most of them than NIN (Janes addiction I have no problem with), and a lot of those bands will be around in 20 years time, that is obvious if you think about it objectivly.

NIN's output has been very hit and miss and they were boring live. To quote Steven Wells 'NIN are about as much fun as christmas in a genital cancer ward. An evening watching your band is about as pleasurable as three way sex with Mr and Mrs Himmler.' Spot on as always.

I would disagree with most of that. Those bands actualy move on stage, they sing positive songs (well some do) and they are not pretentious and self righteous.

white lies are alright for an "nme" band (and this is from a reformed nme junkie), but having seen both them and nin at the weekend, it's not really a contest. Cheers for posting that video btw, you've just brought back sunday night for me, love head like a hole

edit to say up until the weekend i would've agreed with you about kaiser chiefs, did look like they were going through the motions at one point, but were full of energy and balance their setlist nicely (kaiser chiefs were actually on before nin lol, black eyed peas were also on before kaiser chiefs and went down a storm  )

Yeah, most NME music followers would have been bored with the performance below and would have wandered off and watched CSS or some other 2 minute front of the cover NME bollocks.

I've got friends who lap up everything that is printed in this once upon a time decent music paper and would go and see some sh1t like White Lies over NIN everytime if they were playing at the same time at a festival.

There loss and yours I say Thomasowen  but of course, all music is subjective.

Nothing wrong with a bit of Black Eyed Peas! Glad to hear the Kaisers are back playing with some energy, like I said above, I enjoyed them in the past, but last few times I sae them Ricky and the boys just seemed content in picking up a pay cheque rather than entertaining.

I can't get into White Lies at all, it just seems to me Joy Division > Interpol > Editors > White Lies so we are basically at the end of the road for that type of music.

How was Rock Werchter? I have always fancied giving it a go, maybe next year as I have heard good things about this festival.
