howlin_pete
Finally confirmed today that I can actually go! See you down the front... of my seat. I'm pretty sure there are very few NIN fans who will want to be sitting down anyway so should be a good atmosphere
ploobz
NIN and JA were both phenomenal at T in the Park. Highlights were Piggy and Heresy from NIN and Mountain song by JA, shame neither played for very long.
inspectedinspector
Gaaaah, I have a feeling I have royally f**ked this up. I'm meant to be seeing them tomorrow in Manchester and bought my tickets in the presale which you collect from the box office. BUT I used me Mam's card to buy tickets because they wouldn't accept mine, however the cardowner has to be present at the time of collection with the card and ID, and my Mum has no intention of going to Manc (4 hours from where we live). Plus at the time of regisetring the site was being tempermental, so we ended up making multi accounts and the one that was eventually sucessful was my mates, who lives at a different adress than ours, ie. not the one on my Mums ID. Any advice please? I've tried ringing MEN arena and they were useless, told me to ring ticket vender and there doesn't appear to be a number for them, only this Ticket Information: 800-594-Tixx which I don't understand? and email addresses. inspectedinspector
Hey mate. In my experience, the two major venues in Manchester (The Academy and MEN) never bother checking for ID. I go to Uni there, but I'm too lazy to walk to the box offices when gigs go on sale, so I normally choose the pick up tickets option (normally through ticket line, sometimes seetickets). Every time I've gone to the academy they've just asked my surname...then my first name. The MEN as far as I recall is the same (although I haven't been since Feb 2009). I just went up to the box office and told them my surname when I saw Smashing Pumpkins (and the time I went to Kanye West too) and once I confirmed my first, I was fine. Of course, as your mother's going to have a feminine name they may investigate a little further. However, if your take something with your surname on (assuming it's the same as your mothers) and just say 'look mate, I ordered them on my Mum's card etc) I can't see them not allowing you entry. They are just normal people doing a job. They are hardly interrogative.
pinback
Nothing wrong with a bit of Black Eyed Peas!
TurnsLeftLooksRight
Cool, thanks for that. I'm going to take a note along written and signed which will hopefully back me up too. We have quite an unusual surname as well which bodes well
inspectedinspector
.... I just got that email now. I'd take the confirmation email, your Mum's card, and your ID. Just explain it, and show the fact that your surnames are the same and you have the card you booked it on and I'm sure they'll understand. (got a standing ticket myself)

Reading Local
What a f'ing amazing show - Jane's actually only got a 1hr set - came on around 7.40pm and played until 8.40pm - 3 Days, Mountain Song, Been Caught Stealing, Ocean Size, Stop! and others...plus an amazing semi-acoustic/Calypso drums of Jane Says to end the set NIN were absolutely incredible...came on around 9.05/9.10pm (no sudden turning off of lights or anything to signal their arrival which caught a lot of people out..drummer started off a beat and on walked Trent from the back middle of the stage)....played all the way nonstop until the curfew of 11pm.....far too many highlights (didn't even play Closer at all and it was still an amazing setlist) - even had Gary Numan onstage to do Metal and Cars! Now I'm Nothing/Terrible Lie 1,000,000 Heresy March Of The Pigs Reptile The Becoming I'm Afraid Of Americans Burn Gave Up La Mer The Fragile Non Entity The Big Come Down The Downward Spiral Wish Survivalism Down In It Metal (w/ Gary Numan) Cars (w/ Gary Numan) The Hand That Feeds Head Like A Hole Hurt Edited July 16, 2009 by Reading Local
funkymp
cant believe they played 'down in it', gary numan playing was insanely random, never expected that. amazing stuff, my eyes are killing me though, still seeing stars from the lighting
howlin_pete
They caught me out when they started without dimming the lights, thought they were still soundchecking the drums untill I heard Trent singing! Absolutly increadible setlist, didn't think they would play Reptile, The Downward Spiral, Down In It and never saw Gary Newman coming! Awsome, awsome gig, although don't like the o2 much as a venue, pretty shit sound from where I was, not bad enough to ruin my enjoyment mind. And I've never been so close to tears during a gig as I was during Hurt, great rendition of my favourate song ever Edited July 16, 2009 by howlin_pete
