They sadly won't because they have said long ago, their first EVER live dates will be in Australia [where they're from] at the end of September

Maybe next year, hard to believe that a band have gotten so popular, and gotten worldwide success and have never ever played live before anywhere in the world

I actually don't know i can't look at reading line up without crying so i only had a quick glance...

either way i want empire of the sun at v >=[!

Yes has been said already they are playing Australia in September, can't wait to see them if their live show is anything like their videos we are in for a treat next summer, one of my favourite albums of the year.

a)there not playing reading, they aren't on the lineup yet and doubt they'll be added to it

b)they did say first live dates will be in australia in september

and c)they haven't played live yet despite being so popular because they said there shows are going to be such a visual specticule that they don't want to just play live before they are ready to play absolutely perfect shows...

and no offence but can you really see a band that have become as massive as Empire of the Sun playing live for the first ever time at V festival above the likes of Glastonbury or T in the Park or playing in there hometown in Australia; just a defient not happening unfortunately
