tweemo freak
As you can tell from the name of the thread I think the Reading and Leeds line-up sounds great but I live to far away to come. However I would love to come to a festival with Placebo, Prodigy, Radiohead,Vampire Weekend, Lostprophets, Enter Shikari, Funeral For a Friend and Arctic Monkeys! Just wish I could go! Keva
It is good on some stages (Lockup, Some R1/NME acts..) but the mainstage is dire.. thats only my opinion though..
Budweiser
It is indeed a very good line up, especially with sonisphere and the credit crunch, so kudos to Reading organisers.

thetime
in my opinion its a really good lineup. 3 strong headliners who I like, and bands I like throughout! For me friday looks amazing at leeds.A fair few bands on the nme stage like spineretty, patrick wolf, white lies and metric and lots on the main stage like ian brown, prodigy and arctic monkeys. Saturday main stage in spot on for me with vampire weekend, yeah yeah yeahs, bloc party(yeah I want them), and the best band in the world radiohead. Sunday being the most sparse day for me but still with the likes of placebo, florence, deftones, kol to watch so im really happy.
robsadler
it ain't bad really. much prefer main stage this year than last year where i only watched 1 band on the friday, 2 bands on the saturday and 2 bands on sunday (properly). i'll probably catch about 10 bands or so on main this year. j...rox
Haha, where have the WUMs gone. I've slowly got a bit disappointed. The orginial announcement was awesome but the additions have been a bit rubbish. Nothing nearly as good as when shadow puppets got announed, granted i didnt go. Cydonia_90
I think the line-up us great! There isnt hardly any METALLZZZZZ but i'm not fussed
jammy2211
It's a decent line up with no bands who blow me away and make me think "Wow I can't wait to see xxx". However Radiohead would probably be that band if I didn't see them at victoria park... they've the potential to blow me away there though . There are lots of bands I want to see but I've seen them all before... guess thats why the excitement isn't so high this year for me. I was over-hyped for 08 with Rage, Metallica, Slipknot etc and it sort of didn't feel that amazing so it's probably for the best.

Lithium05
Too many repeat bookings, no (pleasant) surprises, and very few of the good bands are exclusives (prodigy, FNM). The line-up seems to be aimed exclusively at NME readers and scene kids. Worst main stage line-up since 2004, though 2004 still edges it for me by having a few more decent bands lower down the mainstage (what I wouldn't give for RBF, Dropkick Murphys or Ash this year!) shoptildrop
the addition of FNM has man me very happy bunny but even before that I was quite pleased with lineup as enough to keep me busy still haven't clue which headliner to see on the friday mind, I mean who can u see after Prodigy? lol

Chr!s
I normally don't spend that much time around the main stage anyway but i can see why people are moaning about same bands playing and not big enough bands and shit however for me the festival is looking pretty f**kin good, there are more bands then normal who I am bothered about seeing
pink_triangle
I think the line up is pretty average but at 29 and with most of my favourite bands being from the late 90s I cant realy complain as I knew what to expect when I bought a ticket. Im not sure I agree with those who say the line up is made for indie loving nme readers. When looking at the main stage (which is the main selling point for the festival) I would say theres pretty much a 50/50 split between bands you would likely see featured in nme and kerrang. VCK
The line-up is shit. Well, it has some good acts but to compare it to any past line-ups would be a joke.
