Hi,

Myself and my other half would like to register for Glastonbury - but we've never done this before and the photo instructions on the website look as picky as those you get when applying for an actual passport! :D We have photos ready to send, but we're worried about sending them - just in case they don't accept them! Help!!! Please can anyone tell us what happens if they don't accept your photo? Do they give you the chance to send another? Thanks! :D

yeah but if you mess that second photo up then you are blacklisted, its assumed you're too stupid to be allowed a ticket

If your pic isn't accepted will they email you to let you know you need to try again?

My sister and I tried to register last week and I got my reg. number pretty quickly but my sisters still not heard anything, she's not sure whether to attempt registering again

We are in the same position. We applied last week and got a confirmation email the following day - but since then nothing! Do they just assume that you'll know that if you hear nothing within a couple of days that you should try again? This is really stressing me out :O

I had another look and it says if you've heard nothing within 48 hours to try again. Re-submitted the pic last night so hopefully it'll work, if not we'll try a different pic

I had to register 3 times before I got a confirmation, using different photos. One of my friends was the same. We just got confirmed today.

Unless you're actually getting a "your photo is not acceptable" stylee e-mail rather than the official confirmation e-mail containing the Registration Number then I think that it's often just taking them ages to respond at the mo. I wouldn't mind betting that they're only processing registrations once a week or something just now as there probably aren't that many to deal with. It took a week for my registration to be officially confirmed and I knew for absolute certain that there wouldn't be any problems with it - exactly the same details and piccy as I've used every year to date ! They certainly don't appear to be responding in anything close to the 48 hours suggested time-scale on a regular basis any way. There's loads of time available so no real need to panic unless your photo is actually getting rejected for some reason or other. I'd suggest waiting at least a week before trying again.

Well, we're on attempt number 3 - and it DOES feel like we're sending our (personal) information into some kinda internet blackhole!

OK, 1 other thing to consider then. There have been several problems in past years where the e-mails sent out by See have NOT been delivered to peeps. This primarily affected anyone with a hotmail or AOL e-mail address that they had used for the registration although there were other e-mail service providers involved as well. In all cases, the service provider was simply deleting the e-mails from See because they considered them as being SPAM but at no time were individual users being informed of that fact. Even if you had options such as "deliver suspect SPAM to my SPAM folder" rather than something like "delete SPAM automatically" set, the e-mails were still being automatically deleted by the service provider with anyone knowing about it.

You *should* get the first e-mail almost immediately after you have registered. It has the subject "Glastonbury 2010 - Registration" and looks something like this:

Dear [your_first_name]

Thank you for registering for Glastonbury 2010.

IMPORTANT: You will not be able to book until your photograph has been approved.

This email does not constitute acceptance of your photograph. Your registration number will be emailed to your registered address when your photograph has been checked. This will take up to 24 hours.
