Not trying to be a dick but i just saw placebo at open'er festival in poland. I insisted to my friend who didnt want to see them that we should considering their reputation. Unfortunately they were very boring live and i'm not joking but i actually fell asleep halfway during their set, if theres something else on, go see that

Been a big fan of placebo since they first came out and they used to be brilliant live but last few years have been a pale imitation of themselfs. Still good but not as good as they used to be. Which is why I have to decide between placebe and florence!

I'd say people who've never heard placebo before are just better off getting the greatest hits, it's very accessible, plus i saw them two weeks ago and the set was very heavy on the new stuff, just throwing in a few hits towards the end like bitter end and special k :D

I've pretty much accepted that i'll be watching radiohead on my todd, all my mates are goin to lost prophets and i'm usually quite easy going, but no f**king chance am i missing seeing one of the most uplifting live bands (quite ironic since they're always called depressing) when lostprophets is the alternative. I can see radiohead having the smallest headlining crowd of the weekend, just as it's happened a lot in the past (bigger acts not pulling in the crowds), plus lost prophets are going to draw a respectable crowd, they always do.

Prodigy, i won't even cover lol, prodigy live = absolute carnage. I'm actually glad their on earlier, seeing them at werchter was great, but they came on at 1:30am (again not a bad thing :D ) and as it's a 4 day fest there's no camping the day before like leeds, so travelling all day, getting tent pitched up etc, then fast forward 14 hours you've been awake nearly 2 days and the prodigy come on stage and tear the crowd a new one, i was dead on my feet by the time breathe came on.

As for recommendations I (and a few others on here) may sound like a broken record, but faith no more!! Radiohead have been my favourite band for the past three years but i'm still looking forward to these guys more. Anyone curious just get a download of their headline slot at download festival (you can find it at all the usual places). Honestly, you get very few bands that genuinely progress, and that's just what fnm did, every album with patton sounds very different to its predecessor. Look them up at spotify, we need a few more for the tent since i can see KoL pulling in all the casual audience that arn't arsed who they watch, but will go to the main stage due to kol being everywhere over the past year.

Most folks never see the point in arguing about this kind of stuff. Case and point; i love Radiohead, my buddies don't. One man's trash is another man's treasure i suppose.

Festival crowds can usually find treasure in amongst the trash. Go, let your hair down and listen to something you normally wouldn't.
