ac/dc singer brian johnson says in an interview on the classic rock website that he hoped to retire when the current world tour ends in may but he was told that the tour wouldnt stop there because 'well,we've been offered some festivals'

Love them and would give anythign to see them. If they play Reading next year I would be there likea shot. If not i would genuinly contemplate a day ticket at Download even though the idea of going to download is not what i would really enjoy.

im sure bloc party said there taking a live break after this summer, so we might get a break next year.

DC are offered Roskilde every year , and still turn it down.

I would be surpised if Beano said " we have not been offered any festivals ! "

TBH - and as a huge DC fan (first saw em in 82 at Leeds Queens Hall ) , I cannot seem em taking

the cash for Leeds/Reading.

As I understand it , and it is common knowledge the band have no time for the music that would

proceed em apart from the odd exception, so you could forgot em coming on after Pendulum.

And likewise they like do their own thing and keep it under their control ( and more money ) and

that is why they do their own mini festivals.

Indeed, in fact I wouldn't even call them a metal band, more hard rock. That said a repeat of their 2003 (I think) MK Bowl show where The Offspring, Megadeth and QOTSA supported would do nicely

Feel a bit sorry for Bloc Party , Glastonbury gave em a healdine spot this year , but they seem to miss

out at Reading/Leeds although not sure if they are a headliner yet , when compared to KOL . Radiohead , RATM , Metallica ,Killers etc
