benicassim generally and outside bar

I have been to Benicassim 4 times now..I missed last year but been this year and the 3 years before that..it has definately got busier and definately more and more middle class kids..I can remember when I went in 2007 and stayed with a friends friend in Castellon, all she could say was "urgh, my town is awash with a load of Peaches Geldofs"..I think she had a point!

However, to be fair, the majority of people I met were really friendly this year and the atmosphere at the festival itself was really good. I did sadly encounter 4 or 5 guys - one of which was cheered on to drink as many beers as he could none stop until he vomited and from there they smeared it over each other..then one got his (tiny) tackle out, filled a cup and launched it..nice! After that I found we were allways by them every night as we both picked the same area to watch the main stage from..to be fair as everynight went on they got tamer and tamer and when I was 35 on the saturday, one guessed me at 24 so I really rather liked them by the end!! They were very very young..and southern so you have to take all that into account!

Every year I have been has been a completely different experience in terms of where I stay, where I fly to etc..this year I got the hotel spot on..not naming it..I want to secure my room if I go next year! But I dont think I will drive from Barcelona and back EVER again!! I would prefer to travel somewhere else in England to secure a Valencia flight.

ANYWAY..one question for regulars..the very first year I went I found this really cute outdoor bar..it had mattresses to lie on and random things like chandeliers hanging in the trees..I know it was on a side street off the main road but the far end from the main street..this is the first year I have gone back to look for it and couldn't find it..it's possible it shut down but does anyone know where I am on about??
