Quiestest campsite site for a family?

Brown i think - not too sure but i think thats the furthest away from the arena and the late night raves

How far is that from the arena in walking time?

I camped in brown in 2004, and it was a good 20-30 minute walk at least to the arena. More if the floor was wet or you went during a busy time like midday.

we will be camping in brown, cant beat a bit of peace and quiet lol.

Arena is at the top left with the main stage off the top of the photo and Brown camp is just off the right hand side of the photo.

The walk is worth it considering what red and blue campsites are like at night - not suitable for kids

if your taking children with you in the 11 to 16 bracket i'd go for green personally, its generally more lively without being totally in your face and they should enjoy it more.

if there in junior school or younger however then brown is deffo where you want to be

right, for a start, the photo thats shown above doesn't do it justice. (sorry) off to the right of the pic there's 2 an a half campsite's missing. Over half of orange, then green and then last but not least its brown.

l've got agree with vikinggriff, we always camp in brown and its generally ok for families, but you do get people piss-ed up tho but not really causing any problems.

This year l'm gonna give GREEN a try, l've heard its got just a little bit more of an atmosphere!!

Brown was so quiet last year , its the furthest from the Arena , always loads of space !

that is absolute bollocks. it will never take 1.5hrs to walk from brown to the arena in any weather! average walking pace is 3-4mph, that means by your reckoning brown would be 4.5-6 miles away!

I would say NEVER take your kids to Leeds festival, it really isn't a good place for them but if you had to head for brown, depending on where you end up it can be about an hours walk from the main stage, can be more, when wet upto 1.5hrs!

Brown isn't always that quiet. In 2007 they had the all night dj sets but can't remember them being there last year so maybe people complained about the noise as it is meant to be the 'quiet/family' campsite.
