Over 18s Wristbands

im gonna get a over 18's wristband cos i do look young for 22 lol but il be on the safe side an still take id anyway Not long now guys x

While I understand the point made about the wristband not legally making any difference, it will make a difference to the people serving(and the people with over 18 bands) as any mystery shoppers are not going to have one of these wristbands, so if someone has one then the bar staff know they're not mystery shoppers and so know they'll not get prosecuted for selling to under 18s

The problem is you hear of over 18s getting the wristband then slipping it off and giving it to an under 18, so even if you have the wristband but look under 18 there's a good chance you'll still get ID'd.

Yeah, but my point is that the people who will be slipping those over 18 bands on aren't going to be mystery shoppers so bar staff will know that even if the person wearing the band is under 18 they're not going to get caught serving alcohol to them.....so if they see a band they'll probably just serve them.

Im 21 and been id'd at leeds and download, and dont think I look underage at all, strange.

I'm 32 and I got ID'd about 10 times at rockness last year. A lot of places have changed to an under 25 ruling, although I don't know if that's just in Scotland - if they think you look under 25 they'll ask for ID. So sometimes it's not coz you look under 18 but they're covering all bases coz some people look older, and others look younger than their actual age!

just keep your driving licence on you. if you lose it, you can apply for a new one online when you get back for just £20 - you just need your driving licence number and its really quick and easy. or don't be an idiot and don't lose it!
