I think she's good at what she does ie pop music for teen girls, though i must admit to liking a few of her tunes. Plus she's a neighbour and i don't want my windows put in if i slate her.

I think she just appeals to (in partic) girls her own age. She's no great singer but her lyrics and quite clever. It's easy to dismiss her because she's pop but I genuinely think she's a good songwriter, not the best but conceptually each of her songs, more so on her second album, are spot on.

If you listen to "f**k You" on her latest album you will hear that she is actually a good lyricist. This track is referring to George W. Bush and I think her sentiment is felt by most of the members of this forum.
