Oor first belladrum

Me and the mrs travelled up from the borders to our first bella.we have been going to festivals around the uk for 20 years so we have pretty much seen it all.

We had a great weekend, cracking wee festival ,great layout ,good food and truly wonderful music.

Only a couple of things soured the weekend for us on leaving the festival on Friday night Saturday morning we witnessed some rather ugly scenes of violence at the entrance.This went on for some time as there was no security present never seen anything like it at any festival before.

Can only think you were in general camping which did look very dirty,but the festival arena

was kept very clean and the potaloos were as clean as possible considering (sp)the use .

Glad to hear you will be back and would suggest you try the quiet / family camping for a more

civilised festival.

My first Bella too and had a great time. Only been to TITP and Loopallu so not much to compare with but I will be back next year.

I didn't think the site was dirty at all, partly due to the collection scheme for the drinks cups and maybe partly to the good food on offer. I did see the photos of the general campsite on the sunday and that was a real mess I admit.

Didn't see any trouble, although encountered one guy who was possibly scamming, but over all an excellent festival.

Only downside was the long walk to the car park. I would like to see a site map available beforehand so you can view the various camping zones and cark parks.

Also I'd like more staggering of the acts so I can see more next year!
