I'm 16 and me and all my mates wanted to know how easy it was for us to get beer into V.. will police be there stopping us and will we ourselves be stopped entering because we bought booze underage?

Sometimes they do an amnesty on the way. They'll randomly pull cars over into their little tent, then ask if you have anything you shouldn't have. If you 'fess up and give it to them straight away you're ok. If they then search the car and find anything contraband they'll confiscate it and can refuse you entry to the site.

When i was 17 i was able to take an industrial crate of magners in...and i have a baby face really, and i mean, they looked at me, but they didnt say anything or even give me suspicious looks. I really think it depends on the people you pass

It might only be some cider but your not of legal age to have alcohol

Personally I think if you don't act like knobs you should be OK

but there again there is always some jobs worth out there

But surely it's not illegal to have alcohol at 16 only to buy it - so there's no offence unless they can prove you bought it - and then it's more likely the shop keeper they'd be prosecuting not you!

At Stafford we always enter the site from the drop off/pick up point. Its usually the same every year. They check your tickets then go through a search bit but ive only been checked a couple of times in all the years i've been going. It wasn't even a proper search either i think i'd hid some glass in my clothes and that was missed. I don't take glass anymore, best to put spirits in plastic bottles.

There's that many people going through the search bit there's only so much they can do. I got waved through last year. I wouldn't worry. They will be more concerned on finding drugs, glass or offensive weapons than your age
