Are Deftones any good live?

Never seen them before but I like a few tracks like Back To School, Minerva so this would be a good chance to check them out without having to pay for them, but Aggrolites one of my fave bands are clashing but seen them loads of times and there's also the brilliant live Kasms too to add to the conflict.

Only seen them once at Download in 2006. I was very underwhelmed, they were pretty dull and never really seemed to get going.

Oh and apparently they never play "Back To School" live because they hate it. Which is a shame because I happen to think it's one of their best songs.

Deftones have days which are on and off, when they're off it's average, when they're on it's one of the best live performances you'll ever see...

I'll be at Deftones because I'm a big fan, but I'd like to have checked out the Aggrolites too, they sound good

They played Back to School at Download 2006... and I thought they were pretty good there for the record.. but that may have been biased because of the godly transition between Coheed > Deftones > Tool all of which are wicked!

My preference out of those would probably be Kasms but I would probably go see Deftones. One of the advantages of festivals is you can go see bands you want to check out without paying the cost of an expensive gig.

Hmm..still can't decide, may just stay at the lock up as I gonna be seeing Streetlight Manifesto before although would really like to see Minerva live though.

Was it near the start of the set? I missed the first 10-15 minutes because I went to watch someone on the second stage (might have been InMe can't remember) after Coheed.

I was a little disappointed with them at download, not that they were poor, probably just hyped myself up a bit too much. the setlist wasnt great imo, still really looking forward to them this time though.

i think we should all make the effort to watch the deftones cos if they dont get a good crowd FR will prob say that there is no demand for metal and book wombats or something instead next year,ha ha.

i was already stuck a little with Deftones clashing with The Horrors, but i didn't know Kasms clashed too. It's a bit annoying cos they were probably the only 'little' band i was going to check out. Neverminddd, i probably will go for Deftones just cos i've heard they're good live, i know a few songs and there's stuff on after them at the main stage that i wanna see
