OK, got your attention....but getting out of the campsite on the Monday...what should we expect? Is it chaos? Are we best to get up (reasonably) early and leave, or wait until the majority have left? Any tips or advice much appreciated!

Hence the reason I'm packing up everything Sunday morning, leaving it in my mates' tent who IS staying, and doing a runner straight after Oasis on the Sunday night, probably completely ratted (bad times for the gf who is driving )

We left yellow camp at about 10 last year, let's say ½ hour to get back to the car and packed up. Finally hit tarmac at about 10 to 2!!!

It really is a gong show! Unfortunately unless you leave Sunday night there really is no getting away from it. Be prepared to have to queue to get out and you might avoid the stress. Everyone is usually still in good spirits so it's not too painful. Last year we had a mass chorus of Yellow Submarine with about 20 other cars. V random...

I always get up about 10.30am usually when i hear all the cars queuing honking there horns lol... u get to see what's been left n get nice new camping stuff for next year, left my tent n took a better one one year. Never queued to get out... drive straight home

Personally don't think there is a 'good' time to leave... I don't like missingouton the last night and I ain't getting up super early to leave. Just wake up when I'm ready, pack my shit up and take the traffic on the chin. Just make sure you got some tunes to listen to and some mates to chat rubbish with and it's ok. There's usually stuff going on as people are still in the festival spirit!

think I usually finishing packing around 12 ish usually get told to hurry up but what can they do eh ask me to leave ...I'm going ha ha, wander back to carpark probobly is about 12.45 /1pm by time i leave.

If your driving out you don't really stand a chance on the monday morning unless you leave at 6am! I personally walked out of the campsite and waited for my mum to pick me up but thats cos i can't drive yet!

Getting yourself a tent left behind is ok unless it has a 'chocolate present' inside, which i've seen firsthand and is literally shit.

Last year i woke up needing a wee about 7, my mate was up so we left early - got to my doorstep then remembered i had left my keys in a mates tent who was still at the festival - had to wait about 5 hours for him to get home
