The Streets' Mike Skinner has cancelled all gigs this weekend, including a slot at a Leicester music festival, because his bassist has swine flu.

The musician announced the news on his Twitter page. "Just as I get the all clear, my bass player Wayney is diagnosed with swine flu," he said

The band had been scheduled to play the Summer Sundae Weekender headline slot in Leicester on Friday.

They had also been booked to play the Picture House in Edinburgh.

time will tell I guess, I think they may just be ok

Well when i had it i was advised to take a week off/isolate myself but was feeling pretty ok by the last couple of days (just very bored/climbing the walls) and it's a week til V, so hopefully he'll be ok.

Apparently a week is the recovery time so they may just make it...

wonder who replaced them at ssw? if they cant make v, id love the music as a replacement!

i dont reckon there would be a replacement myself, they would just shift ppl around. especially if they call it late on say on wednesday
