This was posted on the Official V forum and made me chuckle.

"hi, this is our first time at v and we cant wait ,can anyone tell us if there is somewhere to blow up air beds and how much is it ,we are staying at weston park."

The lazy bugger!

I bet thats because of how you word the request though...something along the lines of ''Do you fancy getting out of breath puffing and blowing in my bed while I give you a hand?''

See...if a girl said that to me and I said 'yes' and then handed me a deflated airbed I'd have to blow it up or look like a perv!

It's a bit harder to tell people to shut up etc when they've got kids with them though (in my experience anyway). I'll be interested to see how many people do bring kids this year? Despite their efforts with the line-up, I still don't think V is family friendly.

Im one of the lucky ones, i can sleep through anything - fell asleep in my camp chair one year while our neighbours were listening to the greatest hits of phil collins - thankfully one of them put a blanket over me. another year i was next to a generator and still able to sleep through it.

Is it just me who ignores people when they tell me to shut up cus they are trying to sleep!? ;)

I actually had a bit of this in Orange last year. Told them to get stuffed. My friend said to them, "if you want peace and quiet dude, a festival campsite - especially one right next to the arena, is not the place to be!"

Think the worst I saw was at Donington. We were in Blue campsite which is the closest one to the village and where all the parties happen, and some people next to us told us to shut up at 5am. The bloke who I was with went totally mental at them. It was not a happy time. They did not talk to us again. ;)
