Terms and Conditions imply that you cannot take any professional photographic equipment into the arena, so it depends where they draw the line on the term "professional". If you don't make an earning out of your camera, I guess you can take it in, but certainly a very grey area, as most SLRs can be considered as professional equipment.

If it were me, I would leave it at home, as if you get close enough for a decent shot, you're gonna be close enough for it to be damaged in the crowd. And if you get turned away at the gate, you're gonna have to leave it in the tent, not a good idea!
