Last year we plodded in the nice small field at the top of yellow, just going into Indigo. You get the excitement of Yellow right next to you, but when you want to reside to your tent, it's only steps away and quiet.

Additionally near enough the toilets, dry and near a water point

Right, there's a load of campsites, I'll give you my own overview, everyone has their own opinions however.

Red - Chilled but cool, a bit secluded

Green - My personal favourite, close to the arena, still a party area, but you can sleep.

Yellow - Batsh1t mental, don't bother even trying to sleep. Gets a bit horrible on sunday night. Closest to the Arena.

Brown - Used to be the mad one, said to be rough, last year it was tiny and far away, so didn't bother going there. Though apparently somebody managed to get a butane tank (for big ass BBQs) in there, causing all sorts of kafuffle

Purple - Also very party like, but more toned down than Yellow

White - Far away, chilled out, family and relaxed camping.

Indigo - Doesn't exist any more.

Am I missing anything? And as I said, this is from my personal experience and from what I've heard, everyone has their own experiences.

Does anyone know how the different campsites got their various reps? I know that white as always been designated quiet camping.

Last year I camped in Brown and it was quite quiet and close to white. However I'm sure the first year I went (2000) it was in a different place and some mates camped there and said it was pretty fun - perhaps its all to do with location?

I have camped near the perimeter fence and I actually like it for personal pissing convinience - but you do start to notice the smell after a while!

My plans look to have changed, I was originally supposed to be going up wednesday night. But it does not look like myself and my group will be able to make it up till Thursday evening, what kind of area would i be able to fit 3 tents into? White?

Thanks for any help, past experience etc

Apparently we're in orange again this year. A few mates are heading down very early and that's where they plan on camping so guess that's where I'll be. Camped there last year and it was pretty good, quiet enough to get some sleep but not so quiet that it was boring. Don't mind the long walk to arena as normally once I've got in I tend not to leave.
