Thursday Night Pub Meet

Hi all,

This has been discussed so far in a couple of different threads, but I did say I would make a specific thread for it, and I thought it'd be a good way for everyone to officially register their interest

So - I see it looks like we are now meeting in the Weatherspoons. I do have a little bit of an allergy to Weatherspoons, but I think it'd be a very good place to gather everyone together as it should be easier for people to find. Plus I'm also staying there now, so that may have persuaded me We could maybe move on somewhere else once everyone has gathered, but just heading downstairs for a drink whilst everyone arrives has a certain appeal!

So - please add your name in this thread if you are attending the wonderful 2nd Annual eFest EotR Meet so we know who to expect and look out for! Once people have signed up I shall send a personal message to everyone including my number so you can contact me if you're running late/lost/want us to look out for you as you walk in/feel like you need a friend

Shall we say around 8pm as a preliminary time to meet? Obviously under the circumstances this will be extremely flexible, and there will be no problem if you'll be arriving later, or want to meet up earlier (I'm planning on being around from about dinner time). Thought this would give everyone chance to get checked in, have some food, etc. but plenty of time to find everyone and enjoy much frivolity!

Unsurprisingly, it's a 'Yes' from me, though I'm definitely feeling like my credit-crunch-beating decision to book in at Travelodge for £9 now looks like a bit of a false economy! What do non-alcoholic drinks taste like?

Still, I'll not be driving at the festival .......

Sorry for the delay, i'll be there on the thursday night with my mate (we're also staying in the weatherlodge) but agree that spoons isn't the best place for booze in the world.

I am hoping to be down Salisbury by around 4/5pm thursday and I also have room in the car if anybody does need a lift.

I'm tempted to pop up on the train for the evening as i'm only coming from southampton.

Would be a good chance to get festivities underway a night early without forking out for a B & B!!

Hope that you can make it! Think that friday is going to be a bit of a mad rush to get things up and running before Ohbijou hit the stage! Im looking forward to meeting all the lovely efests people when Im not manically trying to put up two tents lol

There is a photo of me on my profile (meant to post a clearer one up but have run out of time now thanks to computer issues!) and I shall be attempting to make it fairly obvious where we are tonight. Any problems though, as I've said, just give me a call or drop me a text, I'll make sure my phone's in plain sight at all times!

And if anyone who hasn't already said that they're coming sees this and wants to come join the fun, just turn up! If you need help and don't have my number, drop me a pm or reply to this thread as I have internet on my phone and will check my email a couple of times later in the day to make sure no-one misses out that wants to get involved

Anyway, I'm already running behind so I'll see everyone later! Meet time is still 8pm but get in touch if you're on your own and stuck for something to do a little before that.
