They've played Leeds 5 times in 11 years so they are hardly gonna keep playing the same old stuff. Thought was a pretty good set.

Watched them and didn't really expect much, but they proved me wrong. Came across as a decent live act, and nice to see some stuff off Black Market Music played live.

Didn't know any of the new stuff and still enjoyed it.

I can see why the casual music fan wouldnt have loved the set with all the new stuff. I am however a big fan of hte new album and loved it. Defininitely planning on catching them in manchester.

I think you should just judge it by the performance rather than 'did they play the hits'. The new songs were great and so was the performance. If people just want to sing along karoke style, its not the bands problem...

Placebo have form for playing these sort of sets for festivals anyway, can't have been a massive surprise...

i love placebo, i thought they were great and they played a good set. there were enough old songs but i was pretty gutted when they didn't play nancy boy. obviously i didn't just go to hear that one song, i'm a big fan and i enjoyed the set but i would have loved to hear nancy boy live.

5 out 12 songs off the new album, seems a perfectly good set for me to say they even said in the program that its still a Battle for the sun tour and not a greatest hits tour. I thought they were good but there not everybodys cup of tea

placebo are great, I'm seeing them for the 8th time in december - only ever seen them once and didnt enjoy it, and that was at wembley - they played "slowed down" versions of most of the biggies and it was just plain f**king wrong. I love the new album.

But placebo are a real "marmite" band.

reckon its going to be a good value tour with the horrors supporting them, will hopefully be at bridlington spa - which incidentally is an excellent venue

i have to admit i wasn't too impressed with their set at reading. it was the 4th ot 5th time i've seen them live and probably the weakest performance yet, although it wasn't bad as such, just think i was expecting more.

also i appreciate the fact i like many others are biased in the sense that we were hoping to hear more older tracks, so i guess that has a big impact, i have another friend who really liked their set and he'd never heard them before, funnily enough that same guy was disappointed with thursday's set in the lock up whereas i really enjoyed it but again it was probably because he knew more of their back catalogue than i did (and they also played alot of newer material).

guess bands can't please everyone...except for deftones. they were awesome, and played a near perfect setlist. xx

Placebo were brilliant at Leeds, even the new stuff was great. Impressed with the screens as well. Suprised at how many people seemed to dislike them on here, but then again everyone seems to hate everything here.

I was in a group of people who weren't necessarily Deftones fans but we all owned an album or 2 and liked them.

We all thought that Deftones sounded awful live at Reading, and not just because of the wind distorting the sound.

I quite enjoyed them and I've not really been into them since about 99. They're at least something a bit different from your usal Main Stage pish.
