One of Green Day, My Comical Romance, Blink 182. One of the Libertines, Cribs (if the new album gets the airplay it deserves), or Blur. One of Foo Fighters, Muse or possibly AC/DC.

Headliners will be Foo Fighters, Kasabian and The Libs as they will still be paying off the rage debts. The Libertines shouldnt play the main stage ever but they would be the worst band for indie kids coming back.

Yeah, I think Kasabian's a really good shout.

People might say theyre just another indie band but they pretty much upstaged oasis at their stadium shows and give amazing crowd singalongs on LSF.

On a side note how would people feel about U2 headlining to bring back a more mature crowd, or even REM.

at the mo, my money would be on 3 of these being our 2010 headliners:

Libertines, Stone Roses, Kasabian, Blur, Muse, Green Day, Beastie Boys, Blink 182 or Eminem

personally, I'd like to see Muse, Green Day, Beastie Boys, Blink 182 or Eminem play

I imagine Download will try for those too, apart from Eminem

reckon we could see afternoon main stage gigs for Wolfmother, Weezer, Paramore and Gaslight Anthem

anyway, just bought my ticket for 2010 and already looking forward to the announcement next Easter

just got my ticket for next year and i reckon that Blink, Foo's and maybe ac/dc with system of a down then i reckon other bands may include slipknot a7x machinehead pendulum lib's and kasabian maybe

I really hope that we don't get Kasabian, even though they are a likely shout. They were pretty tedious at Glastonbury. Nothing like the first time I saw them tour the first album. For a good gauge of how accurate that assessment is, try to find the "Kasabian" thread on Glasto/Chat. You'll struggle without search. They were THAT good.

REM are cool live, they more than exceeded my expectations when I saw them in Cardiff in 2005, I reckon they could make a nice headliner, I'd be happy watching them, but Glasto would prob be a better gig for them

yeah, the rumoured Stone Roses reunion could go either way, but if it happened, Reading would be the festival they play, if any

Not really. Blink Foos and Muse all have crossover appeal with the rock/metal crowd. Which is part of the reason I reckon Blink will do Download after not being asked to headline R/L

I have a strong feeling Green Day will opt for Stadium shows rather than festival appearances

I also think that Alice in Chains will headline the R1 tent on one of the days.
