I really think next year will be a 3 dayer and one of those headliners will be Kasabian for sure

I saw them straight after V and the singer said have any of you just been to V, big yeah, did you miss us? big yeah, GOOD! was his reply.

I know they've played a lot but, bands usually look to the future not the past so Im guessing they'll be there next year as headliners

Kasabian, Arctic Monkeys, Stone Roses

Thats my guess

Why?

V favourite.... coming round on the famous V rota system..... along with Coldplay, Foo Fighters and Muse..... hear they come.... who can V grab...???????

Coldplay and Red Hot Chillis!!!!

Sh!t.... now that's going to cost us a lot on our 300% profit margin. Let's cram an extra 5,000 people on to the site and pad out the line up with NDubz, Duffy, Katy Perry, Sugbabes, Tinchy Stryder, Miley Cyrus.....

Still short of profit you say? Crap. Let's get rid of the Barcardi Bar and half the amount of toilets.....

That's better.

And before you ask, no I don;t work for Virgin (but pretty sure I could with forward thinking like that).

There's still a good few band out there big enough to fill the slot.

With The Libertines likely to reform next year, i can see one of the biggies snapping them up as a headline slot, best bet would be Reading/Leeds though.

Arctic Monkeys will be about but I really just can't see them ever playing V.

Prodigy wouldnt be a bad shout for a return, maybe Faithless, Chemical Brothers, Basement Jaxx etc...

Although I wouldn't like to see it, I could see the Scissor Sisters back with a headling slot, which would in my opinion be an extreme disappointment.

But like i said there are plenty of bands out there, hopefully V will pick up a good mix this year (Muse, R.E.M, RHCP, Foos as possible headliners), as well as some real decent supporting bands (The Enemy, Editors, Glasvegas, Klaxons, Friendly Fires etc...). And not spunk all their budget on two headliners and fill the rest of the bill with muchly over-rated 'pop' music.

I'm sure most of you will agree...

For me if its Kasabian and Arctic Monkeys Id be very disappointed, mainly because Ive just seen kasabian and have tickets to Arctics on the new tour

Im absolutley sick of Kasabian to be honest, feels like they've been rammed down my throat for the last few years, and so they had this year off at V, I think they should do Reading next year and give V a rest for a while, say 3 year gap.

Arctic's have never played V so I can't moan about them playing plus it would make a lot of people happy, so they would be a good booking, but Id rather something big, like the Stone Roses as a one off reunion show, massive pay off for them for a weekend at V and maybe a brief warm up date or two in the UK as well, would be nice. Its those sort of things that make festivals special
