What I find funny is two of the closest to headliners so far The Strokes and Blink 182, people are thinking they may be second from top, imagine if both those are and three solid headliners as well! That would be interesting.

It is also a sad fact that the more likely scenario is they will both headline cos there is no one else about at the moment.

I am seriously stunned people are even thinking about Blink as a headliner, they are surely a middle of the afternoon comedy punk band along the lines of Bowling For Soup (not as good in my opinion either).

Any band who are headlining should not be doing songs about shagging dogs up the arse, they are a comedy act, and not a funny one either.

(This is not some bleeding heart worring about the dogs by the way, i just think it is humour for ten year olds at best.)

I didn't realise there were rules for headliners.

Fact is if a band can pull a big enough crowd then they are big enough to headline. Blink can draw a big crowd and have a massive back catalogue to choose from.

I would love to see Blink and The Strokes headline, for me that would be a guaranteed ticket

I don't remember there being a particularly big crowd when Blink played previously and that number is only going to have gone down.

Maybe it is just me, i just think it is a sad day if they headline, but then i said the same about Jack Black's mob whatever they are called when they did it.

If you are gonna have comedy get a comedian, or go to the comedy tent.

Not a fan of blink, although I saw them at reading few years back.

But at least its someone different headlining rather than the usual roster happening at most festivals in the last decade.

Not a big fan of The Strokes, but I know and like enough of their tunes to check them out. I'd have them over Kasabian every day of the week.... Though the same could be said about alot of bands!

I have to say that I think Blink are bigger now than they were. The greatest hits album had a lot to do with that. I don't think they are the greatest band in the world, I actually prefer plus 44, but I think they would be good.

Its wrong to dismiss them as a comedy band. Songs like adams song and staying together for the kids deal with real issues.

Blink subbing to Greenday would make the most sense. Blink's headline status can almost be justified when you take the hiatus into account but no-one's mentioned the fact that they're absolute dogshit live. I'd wager that if they were to headline there'd be a lot off people waling away ala RHCP.

They've got enough singles to play for an hour to casual festie fans but a 1hr 45 headline set would be a bit much.
