Is it time for Reading Fest to move to a new site?

The sound levels on the main stage seem to be getting worse and worse every year. Despite Melvin Benn telling us every year that its due to freak atmospheric conditions, its clear that they're not as loud as they once were.

I imagine this is because the locals are complaining each year and Reading council is having to lower the limit.

Surely they can't continue like this, with ticket prices so high the punters deserve better for their money. Do reckon its time they thought above relocating out of an urban area to somewhere less populated so they can turn it up to 11 once again?? I know it would be sad to leave its present location, its fairly iconic but the enjoyment of the gigs is being seriously hampered.

Something needs to be done about the main stage sound, it's rubbish. I barely heard a note of Exit Music (for a film) stood to the right of the sound tower, and let's be honest, rock music needs to be LOUD. Moving sites might be a bit extreme though, I hope it doesnt need to go that far. It's convenient where it is now, and I'm not sure I'd be interested if it involved the effort of a festival like Glastonbury (which I consider worth the effort, but Reading... probably not.)
