One of the highlights of my weekend. Probably the best I've ever seen them. It seemed like perhaps they had a point to prove.

I hate the Kaiser Chiefs - or Tizer Chefs as we call them. All their songs have a 'woooooooooooooooooooooooo' in them. Every single f**king one of them. And Ricky Wilson looks like a cross between David Brent and Brian McFadden. And half their 'fans' only like them because they support Leeds, like they do.

I can't stand them. But, i enjoyed watching them as we just took the piss out of them for an hour and had a right laugh.

In fairness they're no worse musically than Kings of Leon (recently) and Arctic Monkeys. Plus they're probably better than Razorlight, Franz Ferdinand and the rest of the Landfill indie former champions.

Lol, arctic monkeys are leagues ahead of them, as are kings of leon. Kaiser Chiefs are good showmen, but nothing more. The music is typical drunk indie.

Possibly the best band of the weekend for me. I doubt there are many die-hard fans on here but they're everything that makes a good live band - Energy, presence, interaction, good crowds and of course, singalong-inducing songs.

The same couldn't be said about KOL's performance.

Agreed, I would put them in the same group as supergrass 10 years ago. Nobody will say they are their favourite band but most will make an effort to see them and enjoy their set at the festival. NOt including the headliner type bands they are pretty much a perfect festival band.

Yeah, Franz Ferdinand are one in a moderately small bracket of chart-accessible indie/pop bands this decade who without a doubt sidestep the 'landfill' tag; their debut was a landmark and set the tone, and though heaps of imitators may have rushed through the door they opened to the mainstream they have been consistently ahead of the game and excellent, basically.

Id like to see franz recreate that first album. But yes, they are most definitely not indie landfill. Nor are kaisers, who are great showmen and put on a good live show.

However arctics and KoL are better bands than Kaisers. I thought Arctic Monkeys put on a great show, i loved it. It could obviously do with some honing, but no band who has only released 3 albums has to put on a greatest hits set.
