Gre
Intresting fact, not sure how true it is - Kaiser Chiefs (under a previous name) supported Oasis at one of their breaktrhough gigs!
thomasowen
Have they thought about proving it?

Budweiser
Going by the performances all three bands put on at this year's festival, no they're not.
rexclark
Seems unlikely, unless it was a band a couple of the members were in previously - by the time KC formed, Oasis were already playing Knebworth etc.
inspectedinspector
Im pretty sure if you took 100 random people who know music into a room, they would all say the same. Apart from if you were in the room. Where you just sit down and cry about how everything is shit.

rexclark
Maybe it's not true then. It was on the radio the other day, people phoning in to talk about important gigs they had been to and one woman said she had seen a former incarnation of Kaisers supporting Oasis, I believe she said when they were still called Rain which makes it even more unlikely. But hey, could have been a band before parva one of them was in.
benissright
Google presents me with the information that oasis apparently hate kaiser chiefs because they shared the stage at top of the pops...got bored...something to do with a biscuit. But basically seems like that was the first time they had met each other.
thomasowen
Thats the show if anyone wants to hear the Kaiser Chiefs/ Oasis buit. He claims it was 93, and it was Luga (now kasier chiefs) supporting Oasis. 39 mins in. http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/b00k2lq6/console
MEGABOWL
Id like to see franz recreate that first album. But yes, they are most definitely not indie landfill. Nor are kaisers, who are great showmen and put on a good live show. However arctics and KoL are better bands than Kaisers.
benissright
I thought Arctics were terrible at Leeds and I'm not a huge Franz fan, though I see them as being a little bit different to a lot of the dross about. But even with Arctics being terrible and the Kaisers being better than I expected I still thought Arctics were better. When someone uses the phrase 'landfill indie' I hear the Kaiser Chiefs.
