Budweiser
Well Arctic Monkeys were brilliant, a band with one member of Led Zep, QOTSA and Dave is never going to live up to your dream so therefore must be disapointing (esspecialy when it's as predictable as they made it) and Alexisonfire are terrible so he isn't too far off imo. Im_in_a_tent
Shame you put the disclaimer on, so many people would have risen to the challenge; I was simmering but the final two put the knife in and I was about to launch off a fat tirade. You're ruining the fun!

inspectedinspector
No can't say I am, Them Crooked Vultures were just poor and did not live up to the hype. Musically they were nothing anything remotely different and brought nothing new to their previously good past. They were just boring riffs with songs lasting too long (or it seemed it!). Arctics ended with 505, which is easily musically better than anything I heard with tcv. Grohls drumming can be great and john paul jones' bass work is easily better than that of Nick's work, but you have to be able to form a decent song with the mix of the instruments which I thought they didn't. olly!olly!olly!
Best band: Radiohead (by a long way) Best performance: Radiohead again Most energetic: Prodigy Most surprising: Jack Penate/Vampire weekend. I'd gone off vampire weekend and wasnt sure about them being on the main stage but they were really good Band you'd like to see again: Radiohead, but for the sake of mixing up my answers ill go for Jamie T Band whos music you'd go out and buy after: Already have all the radiohead music so i would say hockey, they were impressive on the FR stage. Oh and Frank Turner's new album is high on my priorities list after reading. One for the future: The XX will become pretty huge i imagine Most dissappointing: Was expecting great things from arctic monkeys but they were pretty drab in my opinion. Also KOL goes without saying. Worst band: Lethal Bizzle. Cant stand him.

Vieuphoria
Best band of the weekend Radiohead Best performance (musically and entertainment wise) Radiohead Soulsavers w/ Mark Lanegan Faith No More Most Energetic Faith No More Most Surprisng (to you e.g someone you didnt really rate before that exceeded expectations) The View Patrick Wolf Band you'd like to see again (after first view) Yeah Yeah Yeahs - Been wanting to see them for ages. Great at Reading, but would love to see them at their own show. Soulsavers w/ Mark Lanegan - Blew everything on that stage away. Am seeing them again in December Eagles Of Death Metal - amazing live act. Am seeing them twice in November with the Arctic Monkeys. Band whos music you'd go out and buy (after listening) Noah and the Whale The Courteeners One for the Future Dinosaur Pile Up Noah and the Whale Most Dissapointing The Prodigy - Crowd were asshloles, kind of ruined it. Them Crooked Vultures - Say what you want, but the hype didnt live up. and im a big fan of Homme and Zep. Ian Brown - the highlights of the set spoke well for his entire career. One amazing track (F.E.A.R) and a great track from an old band who were good. The rest was baaaad. Worst Band New Found Glory - seen them twice now. First time i saw them they sucked. Thought id give em another go, was just terrible. Edited October 25, 2009 by Vieuphoria
