FluffyBeanie
It is interesting that they have sent this survey out. From what I can remember, I put Coldpaly, U2 and Foos for my choices of headliners, and bands I would like to see included Beastie Boys, QOTSA, Pet Shop Boys and Manics. I seriously doubt they will take into account too much what people are saying. The choices on the pick list were interesting, maybe if everyone replies that they want 'proper' bands then the poppy feel of this year's V will be a thing of the past. The most interesting question for me was the one about V moving to 3 days. I have already bought tickets for Leeds next year for two main reasons, that the line up this year was too poppy, and that all the other festivals are 3 days so way better value for money. If the headliners I want come up, and the fest does move to a 3 dayer, I am going to be in a right dilemma... Sell the tickets for Leeds and go back to the V site that I know and love, or stick with trying something new...

BlackHole2006
Didn't do the survey because I didn't go next year but I'm planning on going next year so heres what I want: Main stage headliners: R.E.M Radiohead Other Bands who I would like to see playing: Flaming Lips Manics Nick Cave Badly Drawn Boy Phish Umphreys McGee Chemical Bros Sonic Youth Pavement Primal Scream Mercury Rev I know that none of this would happen but if I see one of those select bands playing next year then I would be happy. I'd probably just buy a day ticket on the day that they are playing though. Cheers, BlackHole2006

Hairywookie
I put REM green day and BOWIE!!!! as my headliners... something different that weve not had. Cant be doing with the same old regurgitated shit as much as i do like foos muse etc. Bowie would be amazing but theres more chance of winning the lottery than that happening
mcalli2008
Some good choices there, but a lot of them are very unrealistic. Filled one of these out last year and they had the Stone Roses listed on it then... could V be trying to persuade Brown, Squire & Co to reform? This rumour always goes round but would definitely be my dream headliner! A mixture of any of these would be great to headline: Stone Roses The Verve, Coldplay Kasabian RHCP Would love QOTSA or Foo Fighters in the mix somewhere too (or Them Crooked Vultures!) If Take That, Robbie Williams or anyone similar headlines (even the 4 stage) I won't be attending....

Hairywookie
2 things, One Mani said that he is trying to get Stone Roses back together for next year to do some shows, and the band are open to actually talking about it for once [they must know how much money they would make]
Flaminglippy
Aparantly they have tried to go thru with a reunion. I read somewhere that (aparantly) John, Remi and Mani were all up for it and that Squire had sent Brown a new song which upon listening to he thought was awesome. But the story said Brown still said no because his kid said you cant go back there as he left you high and dry. Aparantly Brown agreed with his kid and thus scuppered the plans. Dont know how true this was cos it was in a tabloid as I remember but it does sound like summat Ian Brown would do. It would be awesome if it DID happen btw! GuffGuy
Its a real dilemma innit?? I kinda hope that they have the integrity not to get back together just for the money...but seeing them (again!) would be awesum... Why don't V just get The Complete Stones Roses on one of the days...they'd be a thousandth of the price plus less likely to end up with an onstage ruck... ar1
Personally, having seen the Roses' last every gig at Reading 96 I don't them to reform (even though they are one of my favourite bands of all time) - Brown cannot sing and that gig was just painful. Didn't Squire say he'd retired from music now and is an artist? http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/8137469.stm

Difficult not to put them on the wish list for next year but, vive le difference!
