Katster
you know what you're next post is before you've written it...? oh...you mean... never mind For the record guys, I don't recommend that 'tonyblair' fella as much of a comedian... That's the book. It was the DVD, definitely!! Would you like me to try and search it out for you again?!
TheGayTent
Mike Gunn. Very funny man. Completely outshone the two comedians above him on the bill - one of which was Andy Parsons.

Ed209
Been watching Ask Rhod Gilbert on BBC1. Its alright, it has its moments, not sure the format is all that great. However really good to see an old friend from university, Lloyd Langford (Rhod's flatmate), is starting to get the publicity he deserves. The show doesn't really do him justice, but if you have a chance to catch his stand-up then do. He's a very funny bloke, and on the rise. 5co77ie
Can highly recommend Andrew O'Neill saw him for the first time on Friday night - appeared in Saxondale and is the young metaller with glasses. http://www.andrewoneill.co.uk/ Had me in stitches, and the the headliner that night Gary Delaney was as funny as ever. Saw Rhod do stand up last week, if there is a better stand up on the circuit at the moment then I've not seen him! Lloyd Langford was the support but I didn't think he was particularly good unfortunately.

Lloyd Langford was the support but I didn't think he was particularly good unfortunately. thats funny, cos we saw him earlier this year, and we were itching to leave. when that video came on we thought "lets f**k off", and made our way towards the exit (note- there were a lot of other people doing that too), then he came back on. we just kept walking. I spoke to various other people over the next few weeks who saw him, and they all said exactly the same. do you not go to many comedy gigs? there are plenty of comedians that would piss all over Gilbert - kitson, jeffries, and the one who surprised me the most (he did an extra 40 minute set after badgering the landlord from the stage to do so) was brendon burns. Sparticus
saw frankie boyle a couple of weeks ago. Good, but not great. I was expecting a lot more, seemed jaded and a bit fed up, also was whinging about mock the week and pushing his awful new show on channel four far too much. Hopefully he'll return with a reignited passion for offending and making people laugh though, since I have to say it again, his new program on channel four is really shit. rexclark
tramadol nights is f**king awful. i'm really starting to dislike frankie boyle. Utter dross, I'm glad I managed to see his stand up show before this show as it's basically the same material being squeezed out between some awful sketches. modey
John Bishop is utter, utter turds. How the f**k did he manage to get all these gigs? Because he's actually quite funny?
ampersand
Because he's actually quite funny? he's about as funny as me! the first time i saw him was on michael mcintyre's road show. how he's got to where he is now on the back of that, i'll never know. though i did like the skit he did at the princes trust. frankie boyles show. the stand up is pretty decent, but you know what you're getting. sketches are horrible. didn't think he'd ever lower himself to that bollocks! Is that what you are judging him on? a ten minute slot on a tv show? have you actually seen a full set of his? anyway i found him very funny the other night, first time i've seen him and was well worth it
rexclark
Its all lifted from his live DVD, anyone who watches this and gets the DVD for chrimbo is gonna feel robbed! Well yes, we saw him in Glasgow in March and it's all the same jokes from the tour he's on now. I do quite like Frankie Boyle but he is terrible for repeating the same material over and over. If you watch his last live DVD, nearly every joke had already been used on Mock The week.

rachbon
Katie price has now taking legal action after frankie boyles jokes on his tv show about harvey..has he overstepped the mark or is anything ok? i suppose jokes about disabled children are ok. but a joke about a specific disabled child is a bit dodgy, because then he can get sued. it's understandable that she'd be hurt and offended by it, but if she sues him, she's just making it more public and more people will hear about it. That's the "jokes" he was doing when I saw him earlier this year, along with crackers about Baby P He was great the first two times I saw him, quite witty, but the third time he was just stepping over the line and not being particularly funny. I won't be seeing him again.
