Given Simon and Sofia always talk about it primarily being their favourite artists, maybe their top 20 albums of 2009 from the mailout will provide some clues:

3. The Horrors - Primary Colours

4. Dan Auerbach - Keep it Hid

5. Lightning Dust - Infinite Light

6. Animal Collective- Merriweather Post Pavillion

7. Andrew Bird – Noble Beast

8. Dirty Projectors - Bitte Orca

9. Richard Hawley - True Love’s Gutter

10. White Denimin - Fits

11. Grizzly Bear - Veckatimest

12. Wilco - Wilco

13. Bill Callahan – Sometimes I Wish We Were an Eagle

14. Antony and the Johnsons – The Crying light

:P haha I just read through the whole thread wondering if anyone would suggest them and then you did in the last post!

It's good to see Daredevil Christopher Wright on the line up too. I've got my ticket already and I'm chuffed with the bands announced yesterday, but if they added Ryan Paul & the Ardent and Woods/Woods Family Creeps too that'd be fantastic!

Hi Sofia

Line up is shaping up to be fantastic

Given that Black Mountain are signed up why not get the side project Blood Meridian to play too.? They are great -a bit more country dirge than BM. Their track Kick Up the Dust deserves to be an anthem of the festival.

I also recommend Sweet Baboo (friend of Cate Le Bon) who has had two very strong LPs out recently.

Please please please book the Brakes and if the Broken Family Band are truely broken; Singing Adams. The festival would not be the same without them.
