Infinite Jest
I had a dream that the headliners were announced, and they were....the Magnetic Fields (yay!) and, um....Sonic Youth (huh?). I think, like Splainc, I really need another announcement

richwest
I would love to see Hem play - awe inspiring vocals. And Slow Down Tallahassee - a lovely band from Sheffield who need more exposure.
fogged
Add me to the Divine Comedy-as-headliners request list. That would be amazing. And Sufjan too, please. Or Waits, y'know, any of those fellas.

ljsawyer
Do you guys think Wolf Parade will be the UK festival exclusive?
MattL80
It's Slayer I think.

MattL80
With or without the Mongoose?
fogged
Festival exclusive will be Prince. Or someone else. I'm hedging my bets there, but that's probably the best way forward.
shoebox
I'm going to stick my neck on the line and say.................. BONNIE PRINCE BILLY & THE CAIRO GANG I have literally no evidence to back this up, nor any kind reasoning for this. But if this were a sweepstake, I'd slap my pound down on Mr Oldham. shoebox
Oh and the most important thing about this announcement news is the fact that it's Thursday morning, which means I won't have to desperately find an internet cafe at Pontins when I arrive there on Friday lunchtime. Can't wait!
Splainc
I am so excited! So terribly terribly excited!!!
geofelgie
"Do you guys think Wolf Parade will be the UK festival exclusive? " This has got to be the smart bet. But i'm still having a ickle bit of a hope that it'll be The Decemberists.
wolfamongwolves
im also going with bonnie prince billy.
Hotcider
So The National unlikely then I am now hoping for Drive By Truckers & My Morning Jacket. Oh and Dinosaur Jr of course
Infinite Jest
Slayer are playing Sonisphere, unfortunately, so I guess they're not the exclusive . No mention of the Mongoose on the Sonisphere site though, so maybe that's the difference? Bonnie Prince Billy is in Europe in July/August, but back to the States in early August. No mention of tour dates after 8 August...
RedRockRick
***SPOILER ALERT*** I can reveal that the UK exclusive act will be legendary 87-yr old spoons player Wilfred Cunningham from Norfolk, who will not be appearing in any other festivals this year. EOTR beat of significant interest from Guilfest, who withdrew their approach to Wilfred on receiving confirmation that he was still in fact alive.
