I don't know how many people caught his Q&A on the Saturday evening, but what was his problem? The poor guy doing the interview was being given short shrift, and then on the Sunday when they were filming from the stage his AD offred him the chance to thank people for taking part and he waved it off...

I imagine when they look back and realise filming a fake band who are meant to be the next big thing in London perfroming in front of a more discerning crowd in Dorset they will realise they hae what looked like Hollyoaks the Musical on their hands. Sadly before the weekend I was looking forward to the film version of Tamara Drewe...

Yeah - I caught the Q&A and was as disappointed as you...it was a shame because I thought the Little White Lies interviewer guy was really good, with some insightful questions and a generally funny, relaxing banter. I suppose we expect that all directors will have a vast knowledge and/or great interest/passion in their art (and thus we can learn something from listening to them)...however Stephen Frears was either 1) too nervous or 2) simply didn't care...shame.

Why use EOTR anyway? It doesn't look like the sort of festival a band like that would be playing, and it's a festival whose clientele are proud that they aren't like the corporate events. Presumably they're going to have to overdub a lot of cheering.

At least, being an independent British film starring Gemma Arteron, nobody's going to see it.
