Insomaniac
I'd like to think they don't regard Reading as a big dumb festival, they did use to play it in the 90's.
rockinthecasbah
A tricky one. A band I really like, and exactly the sort of act I'd like to see Reading bust a gut to try and get. However, I can see that Pavement's tour doesn't exactly make an appearance easy, and they'd probably need a big offer to tempt them. And given that they're guarenteed to get a tiny crowd with today's Reading audience, I can see that it may not be the most financially sensible move for Mean Fiddler. Fingers crossed all the same though, I'd love to see them show up in the R1 tent.

VCK
I'm assuming Reading would nowadays be regarded as a big dumb festival by them. I very much doubt they would play, unless of course the money is so good they can't say no (which to be fair is the driving force behind this reunion). As mentioned earlier it would be a bit pointless playing to a small and possibly unappreciative crowd, especially as they will have previously headlined a sold out ATP full of diehard fans. sammysundae
surely you all realise that there is absolutely 0% chance of Pavement playing reading? after what they said about big dumb festivals. that applied to reading/leeds, glasto, V, TiTP, etc quite clearly. if they play any of those festivals i will eat my own testes. if you want to see them so badly go to brixton, or even better, ATP! Vieuphoria
i dont see how that rules out Glasto, or Lattitude or somewhere like that?
