Block of Mud
No dont even mention that "Sound System" thing. I saw them at Matter in the O2 before Christmas in that form, they were okay, just played for about 30 minutes and it was stupidly busy, I would imagine whoever was DJing in room 2 was on his own. If they were to play as "Sound System" I would not even bother, easy to say that when I have tickets to Brixton Academy on May
godders1966
I see the status for Faithless has been updated today to 'Strong Rumour'. What was it before, 'rumour' or 'TBC'? Is it getting more or less realistic? Edited March 16, 2010 by godders1966
eFestivals
I status of Faithless has been updated today to 'Strong Rumour'. What was it before 'rumour' or 'TBC'? Is it getting more or less realistic? it's gone up to a SR, based on a greater amount of info of what was supposedly said at gigs.

Harrow Strongbow Ciderman!
Not sure where the Saturday speculation came from (other than them playing before Muse at a few other festivals this summer?) The Glastonbury thread on the Faithless forum (http://forum.faithless.co.uk/p.htm?p=2120056) definitely suggests a Sunday appearance... Here's the quote: "QUOTE Thats right! i was there at o2 leeds last night and maxi jazz said something along the lines of...' we'll be playing at lots of festivals this summer, and i'm just gonna say come to glastonbury on the sunday!' that went down really well with the audience!" This speculation is all built on hearsay and chinese-style-whispers. But if the following ends up happening on Sunday night I'll be quite devastated tbh: Pyramid: Stevie Wonder Other: Orbital Jazzworld: Faithless? Acoustic: Ray Davies? I'd love to see all 4, the mother of all clashes for me! Plus, there will probably be a headliner in the dance village that I'd want to see too.. So, Faithless doing the sunset Pyramid slot would work out best for me
Guest musiclove123
Are Faithless defo confirmed for Sunday then? Maybe they might be willing to play under Orbital or Stevie? I hope so so gives me the chance to see them
Guest musiclove123
FINALLY found this version! Never realised it was Boy George! Sounds like a woman. Guest musiclove123
I would be amazed if Faithless would agree to play under Orbital, I could see them playing under Stevie Wonder though, that would be epic. However would Glastonbury do that, how many people would leave the Pyramid heading for the Other stage, when Faithless finished. I personally dont think this would be a problem, but in todays heath and safety gone mad days, it maybe enough to stop it happening.

Zacko
Do you know what, the thought had entered my mind too FatBoySlim headlined Dance West (or might have been East) only a year or 2 ago so I could see Faithless ala just Maxi & Sister Bliss as a Sound System line-up doing just that? Anyone else think perhaps Dance Village Sunday night headliners??? Surely as full band they wouldn't play in there it'd be too rammed but as a S/S gig I reckon likely
ivan
There is no need for Faithless to make an issue about their position on the stages. Second to top is good. They don't have to see it as second best. Plus its the 40th anniversary so maybe they might not care as much...

LondonTom
love that tune now, on record not one of my faves, but live this is filthy
Tugger2k
Mass Destruction is probably the first song of theres I heard and liked, anyway I ended up forgetting about them until a few weeks ago, then I was curious about this group you was going on about and I did tend to think of them along the lines of orbital, but checked them out and thats the first video I noticed when searching for them. Great live (Been listening to them on spotify to and they are quickly becoming a must see if they appear!)

ghandi
Now that Orbital are on the other stage on Sunday then surely it must be Faithless headliner the other stage on Saturday or perhaps under Stevie Wonder on Sunday. I really hope so. At the moment ( and i know it might change ) Muse looks likely for the Satuday , but i'm just listening to God is a DJ and i can just imagine........... Priceless! ghandi
I've been watching a lot of the 2002 set on Utube this morning, does anyone think that Sister Bliss looks like Toyah Wilcox?
ghandi
If they play, and there is no confirmation yet, just a SR on the rumours page, then is Max Jazz going to be a part of it? Is here a part of their smaller shows they did this year? If not then surely they are not the same?
