Lowlands 2010

Hey, anybody have any idea why Lowlands organisers take ages to release the complete line up? I'm sure that with LL being the event that it is, they KNOW who shall be playing. Why do they leave us hanging? Tickets have been sold out for a while now, so, really, what is the point? Please enlighten me, as it's getting really frustrating.

Ps. I know that anticipation is part of the fun, but I've been hoping that they release some more names this week, you know being the beginning of the 100 day countdown. So it's the disappointment speaking I guess... : )

Other than the (valid) Pinkpop argument: why not? The tension only increases visitor participation. Twitter's #LL10 hashtag hasn't been quiet for even a single day since February. Lowlands sold out with less than a handful of names announced. It's all a big game and actually I don't mind the wait, it'll only make the wait until the actual festival shorter! Just 94 more days!

i know you are simply taking it from that list, but wouldn't it be a little odd for the basement jaxx to play two years running?

Update: the official site now mentions that the leaked list is an old work list and since then names have been both added and removed. So will some of the names definitely won't be at Lowlands, there is a good chance that some of them actually will be. Of course the question remains: which?

On a bit of an unrelated note to previous discussions on this thread...Does anyone what the story is with bringing truffles into lowlands??.. I know shrooms have been banned and truffles are a bit of a grey area.

"As of 1 December 2008, all psychedelic mushrooms are banned. However, truffles and mushroom spores remained legal and are readily available in the so-called "smartshops", the stores in the Dutch cities that sell legal drugs, herbs and related gadgets."

If they are legal, they should be allowed on Lowlands.
