i hired a car last year from barcelona airport and drove down its a great drive took about 2 hours, i stayed out of benicassim so drove in everyday never had a problem with the car park half way between the beach and the festival.

Was it an FIB car park or just a public space?

Not sure wethere to head straight for the FIB and be restricted to that or try and find one nearby!?

Just a normal car park dont actually think there is an official car park, its a very easy town to get round takes no time at all to figure it out, there is only really one big car park its on gravel not marked out or anything but is right in the centre of town, about 15 minutes from both beach and festival

I'm seriously considering taking the car all the way from Glasgow this year Fancy a bit of an edventure this time instead of the mundane fight routine. Probably stay one night in France and one night in Barcelona. Up and down to Aquarama in no time Will be handy for supermarket runs as well. Might even venture further afield to see what the surrounding areas have to offer.

If i'm not drunk all the time i could be the unofficial efestivals taxi driver

I think we've had our headliners to be honest. Think there was never a chance of getting a line-up like last year which was a one off for the 15th anniversary. Still, I'm happy, plenty to keep me more than interested. Plus as other people have mentioned it's about the whole week, not just the festival itself.

(if they do at all) were all low of funds at the moment and thought that beginning of May we would all be able to, but i'm worried they could sell out.

Yeah you can never know for sure when or if it will sell out. If I were you I'd just save save save and buy the tickets as soon as you can afford it. Get less take away and drink at home or parties instead of the pub.

I think that we still have 1 or 2 headliners to be announced. i think the reason we havnt had them yet is due to exclusivities by other festivals. if this is the case then we could be looking at an unannounced festival (R/L?) headliner such as Libertines...as they might need to announce before Benicassim can? Just a thaught. i can only really see Prodigy and Kasabian as headliners..

I would'nt get your hopes up for anymore 'big' names. Last year was the anniversary as someone said.

Two years ago, the headliners were My Bloody Valentine, Leanord Cohen and Gnarles Barkley!

Still, great festival - as much fun to be had at all the other stages!

Blur are not being ruled out for headlining a couple of festivals this summer, Benicassim a good shout? Gorillaz?

Sweet Jesus if it is bloody Blur I might sell my ticket on!! Blur or Jay Z (I mean, SURELY not?! Seen it mentioned on a few forums though...) or Green Day would be a huge disappointment. Almost as much of a disappointment as Oasis last year. (Them being on the bill at all I mean, not the fact they were shit...had seen them at Glasto '95; knew full well they'd be shit!)

Keeping fingers crossed for MGMT, Pearl Jam, Faithless, Placebo, Belle & Sebastian, James, Puressence...but to be honest I personally am happy with the line-up so far (esp Mumford & Sons, Courteeners, Leftfield, VW, Hot Chip & Cribs) - would rather have no further 'big' bands than have lame, derivative crap like Arctics or Kaisers or the like announced; would just be depressing!

I take MBV and Leonard Cohen over all the headliners of last year. There bout legandary in their respective generes, but not as popular as last year's headliners. Mind you FIB was never about a big name headliners they usually go for qaulity headliners, which sometimes means not the most in demand or popular acts at the moment.

Anyone know where this green day rumour has come from? not sure if i'd fancy them really. and also other forums claim blur fancy a few festivals and with benicassim being one of the few that must surely have a couple of headliners still to announce whats the likelihood?

Blur would be immense ! Cant think bar Muse as a more ideal headliner for me. What forums are these mentioned on please,I wouldn't mind a look ?
