I know that was not the reason for going in, I never said that in the post, but thats what it has turned into now.

At no point did I say that the UK's actions did not kill any innocent people. They, did of course, and that cannot be excused. Hopefully on a whole now we have made the lives of the Iraqis better, But we can never be forgiven for the innocent lives lost, no matter what we do.

The point I was making is the people of Iraq are entitled to human rights as well, which under other regimes and governments they did not have these rights. I'm saying a lot of the Iraqi people will think that our Government has done a lot for their country an will like them. The lives of millions that we have made better due to going in there is a real benefit to the country.

Theres no way the UK would ever turn its back on the USA, basically because were scared too.

Back to the topic at hand though.... I think fires will be band weather people like it or not.

Will have to read through all of this thread - but my immediate response is NO to banning fires!!! and I don't think the trouble has much to do with the lineup either.

The focus of the campsite is what needs to change - not more regulations - Reading has become pretty much synonomous with rowdiness and 'rioting' - FR need to find a way to get around the noise restrictions so they can have things on after the bands (that actually cater for the amount of people there) - at the moment you just have 80,000 fairly f**ked festi-goers piling out of the arena into basically one massive field after the final headliner with f**k all to do and no consequence to their actions - its just 'festival over until next year'. Banning fires would just be shit - it'd be absolutely f**king freezing and theres nowhere else to be really other than around a campfire (be that your own or some random peoples') - a Sunday only ban I can't really see working either - would just have staff having the nightmare of arguing with people who are just sat around a small campfire like they have in previous days whilst people who want to be w*nkers just continue to be w*nkers and aren't really dealt with (as is now).

i find that statment very stupid. would you rather the country be thrown into some sort of anarchism i assure you that will be a lot worse then what we have in place now. Thats the problem with this country we actually have a pretty good goverment but people are jumping on the band wagon and dont want to admit it.

and you are losing the plot man, comparing this to a campfire at a festival. is it a nessecity? no. Is it going to change the festival? maybe but only for the better.

the pros outweigh the cons mate
