I don't know about anyone else but I am getting prepared to complain about Glasto being too hot this year! It's standard, I will moan if I get too cold and I will moan if I am too hot...I'm English godammit..

Although... a pint of cold cider trickled through ice cubes, sunkissed shoulders and my chance to wear my new sunglasses sounds a bit of alright to me :P

But if you could choose the perfect weather, it wouldn't be full-on sun for 5 days would it? When people say that a hot Glastonbury isn't ideal, that's what they're saying. Surely the ideal weather is around 20 C with some light fluffy clouds & dry, dry, dry?

My best Glastonbury was 2003, partly because it was my first time but largely due to the fantastic weather.

I don't enjoy it that much when it's cold/wet. Late Sunday in 2007 was depressing, even Bill Bailey couldn't make me laugh I was so wet and cold. I drove home that night through some of the heaviest rain i've ever driven through!

I like it when it's warm and dry and you can sit around on the grass with a drink :P

A repeat of 1995 weather would be good. It was that hot that year we were even prepared to drink the free liptonice they were handing out!

Buddhafish - I like the use of the word 'bloody' in your version of THE slogan.

It compliments my use of 'bastard' rather well.

:P I want it to be so hot that my only complaint can be that my wellies melt onto the pathways..

No. It's sun, sun and more sun.

Bastard rain and bastard cloud can stay away.

If you start arsing around with cloud-love, you run the risk of attracting bastard clouds we DON'T want. Those bastard things with rain in.

Why run the risk? Sun is good. No bastard rain is also good. It's very hard to have bastard rain when there are no bastard clouds.

I want the skies to be as blue as a choking smurf thanks very much.

I see your argument. I really do.

But I remember sitting in the Pyramid field (2003?) praying for shade. We'd see the shadow of a cloud appear over the valley. We'd watch it approach us, then we'd bask in the pleasure of blessed shade for 30 seconds or so, before it was gone.

I've done Glastonbury with unbearable sunburn too. Horrible.

(But much prefereable to rain and mud)

No no, a lil bit of cloud cover and a nice breeze is the way to go, none of this relentless sun bollocks :P

I want the weather to be exactly as it is today in Leamington.

Warm enough for shorts & t-shirt.

Not hot enough to sweat and seek out air conditioned indoors.

You want some cloud cover to come over after the sun sets cos Glasto gets foookin cold at night. Not rain clouds, just comforting clouds lol!

I want it to be sunny with a cool breeze in the morning so that you don't melt in your tent with a hangover. I then would like a brazilian heatwave to strike just after midday causing all the mud to turn solid and for the grass to go that burnt yellow colour. I would like this weather to continue non stop apart from when I have to drive in my car with no air con.

Am I asking for a lot? :P
