Better two people post some news than no-one though!!

Yeah, that sounds promising. Still too early to get too excited but I do like an extremely vague yet possibly promising early forecast.

When will JACKONE start his annual forecasts?

Temperature doesn't bother me much and if I'm honest I cope better with lower temperatures than higher ones, BUT I want to be able to sit/lay on the grass and that means dry. I don't mind it being lower than average temperatures but NO RAIN. End of. Not even a little bit. By extension that means no cloud and given its the end of June, cloudless skies will mean heat in the ay, chilly at night. Suits me.

first forecast :P

http://forum.netweather.tv/topic/62625-gla...-forecast-2010/

Here is the first forecast for the season, at this stage we are looking for trends and expect many ups and downs in the forecast over the next month.

CFS based on run published 23 May - Largely unsettled conditions with the chance of a few showers, temps would likely be in the mid teens.

CFS based on run published 24 May - Settled conditions to start, but low pressure pushing in from the west bringing bands of rain at the same time, giving quite a wet festival period, the only saving grace is the temps in the low to mid 20s.

So on the limited data so far, the chance of a wet festival is quite high, there will a midweek update, before the first blog is set be issued on Saturday

Monday 7 June 2010 to Sunday 20 June 2010

High pressure builds to provide a drier spell

The northwesterly flow is expected to decline as high pressure builds from the west. Although still unsettled at first in northern and eastern parts, all areas are expected to become drier and more settled.

Near average temperatures are expected to rise above average in the south. rainfall will be below average although close to it in the north and east early in the period.

Please dont let it go down hill afterwards !!!!!!!!!!

It's got to go up and down on the forecasts a million times from now until then, or this thread wouldn't be anywhere near as much fun!

But even leaving Tuesday night we won't have a definite answer to the weekend weather.

In 2005 I left all my waterproofs in the car as the forecast on the Wednesday was for a scorcher with no rain. No rain! It's the most rains I ever saw in so few hours - ridick!

Still, it all dried out again pretty much everywhere and we could sit on the floor again. What we don't want is 2007 style where you can't sit down anywhere ever - *shudder*

On another note, in 2007, I had to tuck my skirt into my pants under my poncho because it was getting splashed with mud - I drank a fair few Brothers and completely forgot.......when we did have 5 mintues break in the rain, I removed my poncho to show everyone on the right hand side of the pyramid my panty skirt tuck. I DON'T WANT THIS TO HAPPEN AGAIN! NO MUD, NO RAIN!!

We are bound to have weather the same as '95

1995 - John Squire damages colar bone so the Friday headliner had to pull out, amazingly replaced by Pulp

2010 - Paul Hewson damages back bone so the Firday headliner had to pull out, amazingly replaced by pap.

The similarities are too uncanny for the weather not to be the same...
