Looking better...

Last update from Met Office site: http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/weather/uk/sw/...st_weather.html

UK Outlook for Thursday 10 Jun 2010 to Thursday 24 Jun 2010

Some parts are likely to start unsettled, but there is the possibility of high pressure building from the west again, with all parts probably becoming drier and more settled. Near average temperatures are likely to become above average in many areas especially the south. Rainfall will be near to below average, but locally above in parts of the north and west at first. :P

Seeing as in 1995 The Stone Roses pulled out and Pulp replaced them and it was a f**king scorcher back then the same thing happened this year with U2 and Gorillaz which definately means we are in for another f**king scorcher.

Oh, and you can't say "But in 2005 Basement Jaxx replaced Kylie and it flooded" because they only bumped up Basement Jaxx so it doesn't really count.

I notice that nobody has posted Jackone's latest forecast, so I'll paste it in. Don't shoot the messenger, and don't forget it's all likely to change;

New Summaries

CFS based on run published 25 May - High Pressure over Scandinavia on the Wednesday slowly losing its influence over the UK and allowing low pressure to edge in for the weekend. Looking Very wet with some heavy rain for the weekend, Temps in the mid to high teens.

CFS based on run published 26 May - Low Pressure over the UK for the Wednesday to Friday, before High Pressure starts to ridge in from the South West for the weekend. Wet on Wednesday, potentially very wet on Thursday, wet again on Friday, but a drier weekend. A cool festival with temps in the low to mid teens.

So again the early indications are for an unsettled festival, but plenty of time for the weather to change before then.

I agree with Langdale.... Jackone doesn't know what he is talking about.... unless of course he says it will be sunny and hot.

It's fine - I'm the biggest victim of sod's law and I've just paid more than I wanted to for an UBER waterproof tent (3000 HH) - so it'll be dry....

Will be painting wellies up all nice too just to be sure :P

Ha ha ha! No way! Less than £100 and it was from eBay but other people kept forcing my bid up and I hate losing!!

The Hydrostatic Head is 3000mm ( I hate myself for knowing that this is very waterproof but previous rainy festivals have caused me to become obessed with tent waterproofness!!)

Well, naturally.

If he predicts sun, he's a great bloke and knows EXACTLY what he's talking about. If he predicts shite, he's a clueless chancer who probably feels bad he hasn't got a ticket so is taking it out on us.

It's the Andy Murray effect.

Murray wins - he's the Great British hope we're so proud of.

Murray loses - he's a whiny, miserable Scottish pillock.

Good afternoon and Happy 2010 to my beloved eFestivallers. Great to see some of the old regulars back in force for some serious WEATHERCHAT.

Looks like I'm late to the party this year... time to catch up!
