True true, though I believe the site has been taken out of his hands - criminals can't earn money from outside interests when in jail, nor can they unlock fund earnt for them by companys they owned while theyb were serving.

I could be wrong, but yes horrible crime by the owner, but that doesn't mean that anyone else that works there, or spends there time providing weather reports for that site should be classified as a nonce too...

But would be good to have some clarity over the current ownership of company. But hey, we aren't paying them anything, nor are their any adverts, so if anything we are just a drain on the company...

Usually I'm very much anything goes but Metcheck is an exception. The guy who founded/ran it was convicted in late 2008 of raping a 14 year old boy. I tend to avoid it these days as it is likely providing an income to Mr Bond whilst he sits in jail..

I'm all for the happy clappy weather but I still won't believe anything unless Jackone posts it. He updates today. I'm hoping for a bit of rain prior to Glastonbury as if it stays like yesterday the weather will inevitably break (also it makes tent pegs easier to thump in if the grounds not dry as a bone).

Is worship of jackone idolatry? I think it is. Good job I'm not religious or I would be going down in flames.

Latest JACKONE Forecast;

This is the second blog for the Glastonbury Festival 2010,

Again it will be split into 3 sections, firstly looking at the CFS monthly reports, secondly looking at the CFS daily reports, then finally looking at other sources of information to create the latest forecast.

Firstly Looking at the picture for June

Pressure is slightly above average over the Atlantic, and over Scandinavia, however pressure is 4mb below average over the UK and this is a strong indicator of unsettled weather. To confirm this rainfall is set to be 160% of average over South western parts of the UK. Temps are set to be around average. In total there are very bad signs for the festival, and anyone going to Glastonbury would clearly hope these forecasts are way out.

Secondly Looking at the picture for July

Pressure is above average to the north of the UK and indeed for Scotland, however pressure is again lower over southern parts of the UK with this extending all the way to the Azores, however only by around 2mb. Rainfall is again above average at 130% of average, with temps marginally below average.

So the monthly CFS forecasts clearly go for the festival to be wet, unsettled with average temps.

Next looking at the Daily CFS forecasts

Issued Saturday 29th May High Pressure over the Mid Atlantic, with a deep area of low pressure over the UK for the length of the festival, with rain likely all days, temps around average, but a washout festival in summary.

Issued Sunday 30th May High Pressure to the south west of the UK, with Low Pressure over the UK on the Wednesday slowly being replaced with slack pressure over the weekend. Some rainfall possible, probably mostly showery in nature, with the chance of a few thunderstorms over the weekend. Temps in the low to mid teens.

Issued Monday 31st May High Pressure building up from the south west for the Wednesday to Friday, but being replaced by low pressure from the Atlantic for the weekend. Temps in the high teens.

Issued Tuesday 1st June High Pressure again to the west/ south west of the UK, giving a slack east to North Easterly flow over the UK. Apart from some rain on the Wednesday looking mostly dry for the festival with temps in the low 20s generally, one of the best daily forecasts so far.

Issued Wednesday 2nd June High Pressure to the south and south west of the UK again, and over the UK to start with, before being replaced by Atlantic pressure systems on Thursday. Dry to start but heavy rain pushing in from the west for the rest of the festival, temps in the low 20s/high teens.

Issued Thursday 3rd June High Pressure to the south west of the UK, with low Pressure feeding in winds from the north, however High pressure ridging up in time for the weekend over the UK. Wet weather seems likely for Wednesday to Friday, but drier over the weekend. Cold weather with temps struggling to reach the low teens to start the festival.

Issued Friday 4th June High Pressure dominating conditions over the UK giving dry and warm temps in the low 20s. The best daily forecast yet.

So this week there have been 7 daily forecasts. 2 of the above go for settled conditions, 3 rather unsettled forecasts with rain at times, and 2 go for a washout festival. So on this basis, the festive is likely to be wetter and more unsettled than average.

Hang on - doesn't that say that the forecast improves as the days progress?

Because that's not bad.

7 daily forecasts:

Saturday: Shite - washout

Sunday: Shite - washout

Monday: Starts okay, turns crap - not warm

Tuesday: Wednesday wet, otherwise good.

Wednesday: Wednesday dry, then getting wet

Thursday: Fairly wet to start, then drier. Cold.

Friday: Dry and warm. The best yet.

This tells me that the reports are all over the place, and we're not any nearer knowing what's going to happen.

The Friday one would be lovely. I'd be slightly worried if the summaries would have been the reverse of that - i.e. last weekend predicted scorchio, yesterday predicting a washout.

The overall, average forecast from all that is 'meh'.

Absolutely nothing tells me to rejoice to the sun gods with praise and thanks, or to find the nearest cat down my road and kick it. YET.

Hey Mr Wolf - pick on a critter your own size!

It's a typo, right? You meant hat didn't you?

Let's all go out and kick some hats, in a sort of sun-dance stylee! B)

Cats are Cool! OK so the weather forecasts are still a bit piss poor but don't take it out of the poor feline population. I love my two cats even though they do treat my like the house staff.

Nope - unless hats have developed a way to shit and piss on my garden, and look at me in their sly evil ways, I didn't make a typo.

But - if it's nice and dry, no-one has to worry, right? ;)

(Disclaimer - the above may be a deliberate rouse to wind up anyone gullible enough to 1. think cats are anything other than evil balls of filth or 2. think I would even like to get near one of the little f**kers even in order to kick one...)

my cat manges to piss and shit anywhere but my own garden, which also ensures no ther cats come near.

you need to get yourself a cat LW, that'll put a stop to it ;)

And yeah, cat's are cool, so leave them alone :P

I'm certainly not going to fret about Jackone's latest forecast. I followed him last year religiously and if I remember right at this point all the signs were great right up until a few days before and then the forecast suddenly turned dire. Yet apart from a bit of rain Thursday night and some on Sunday, we were laughing. Still all to play for if you ask me!
