Is it worth the travel for VIP?

I imagine that VIP will mean the guest area at Leeds. I camped there in 2003 (when it incorporated the disabled camping area) and in 2006 (when I'd won tickets). At Leeds it definitely offerred the advantage of a short and reasonable walk to the main stage area - especially when compared with camping in Green which at Leeds was a good 15 minute walk to the main entrance of the arena. It had its own bar / catering with seating, and there was definitely more space there than you'd find anywhere close to the arena in one of the main campsites.

As for the London -> Leeds journey, I've done it a few times, but only in a car so can't offer much help when it comes to trains.

And? All this extra space and these extra facilities - they're taken from somewhere. The money they cost is taken from a budget. Im sure those putting up with shit facilities so a few wannabe 'look at me Im a VIP' can have a seat to sit on and a 10 minute shorter walk to the mainstage will be made up.
