Apu Nahasapeemapetilon
Peronally I think so far it looks the best lineup since 2006

doyley
Whilst you are entitled to your opinion, RAR is not mono genre like UK festivals and the Alternate stage has its name for a reason. Dizzee will be one of those good late afternoon sets to get a light hearted party going and Jay-Z an alt headliner or even the thursday. Only time Ive heard a band booed was a headliner once who simply werent interested in anything except the $s If you would prefer a 'safe' festival go to download, youll already know 90% of the lineup, it will be like it was in 2009 and 2008 and 2007........etc, etc Peronally I think so far it looks the best lineup since 2006
jiggerjay
I just ordered my tickets, used tickets per post, and emialed them my addy just in case, I used them a few years ago when we went (the year Rage Against the Machine were playing) We were going to Sonisphere poland, but I couldn't justify the cost of transport/accomadation for a 1 day festival! We took the coach last time we went to Rock AM ring, may do the same this year, although it takes a long time, it's cheaper to arrange. If anyone remembers me you'll remember that I broke my leg at the last Rock AM, and obviously I don't want that to happen again, what do I have to do to get a NHS card, as last time I had "insurance" and I wasn't properly covered and I had to pay for the ambulance... Cheers for the help guys... and girls!

All the festival tickets are camping tickets as well, there are no tickets with which you can not camp. Nordschleife is an extra area to camp, but you don't 'need' that to pitch your tent. sircumalot
hello just wondering if the camping included in the ticket allows you to stay in your campervan? or do you have to pay extra to camp at the Nordschleifen to be able to stay in the campervan? also does anyone know the best web site to buy tickets from now that they have sold out? has anyone dealt with seat wave? cheers Edited February 8, 2010 by sircumalot

jiggerjay
Cheers guys for the tips, Alex I found a few cheapish flights <£70 last night, that was how much we paid for the coach last time, although 20kg weight limit doesn't guve us too much to mess about with. beards
me and a friend have bought tickets today from seatwave it's our first time doing Rock am Ring and first time doing a festival outside of the UK, how do they differ? It would be helpful if anyone could pass on any tips to us? Would it be easier to buy beer in the UK and bring it with us for example or can we buy cheaper crates in Germany? We're planning on driving, looking forward to the road trip

beards
Been to Reading a few times as well as Download but have to say that Rock am Ring has the best atmosphere, no booing that I can recall and I don't remember getting covered in cups of piss either, our German cousins are a lot more accepting of different styles of music. This will be my 4th year and 7 of us are driving over in a minibus. I would recommend getting your beer over there unless you like Cider and Real Ale which would probably be difficult to get. Last year we stopped of in Adenau - check the FAQ for the post code equivalent if you have a sat nav there are at least 3 Lidl/Aldi type shops to stock up at there.
